Clay Jam Classic review - "Still fun and colorful!"
Clay Jam Classic review - "Still fun and colorful!"In 2012, when Clay Jam first came out, I did not have a smartphone. I'm not exactly sure what I was doing, beyond primarily gaming on PC, but I did have love for claymation. So, when I saw that Clay Jam was rereleasing in 2026, as Clay Jam Classic, without any of the in-app purchases that previously were in the game, I wanted to see if it stood the test of time! Clay Jam Classic is a particularly simple mobile game, where you can draw a sort of path within the clay hill that a ball is rolling on, moving that ball around the map. You'll be aiming to roll over a bunch of other clay creatures and items on each map, making yourself bigger so that you can then speed roll to a monster (often called a bully) at the end of the level, blasting them off. When you first start, as you are so small, you can only go over a few of the enemy types that do have have exclamation marks over them. If you hit things which are too big, you will lose some of your clay and get bounced back. Moving forward also feels mandatory, as a red fog will continue to climb the screen, looking to eat you up before you even get to hit the bully! ... [ MORE ]

8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller review - "The past is future!"
8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller review - "The past is future!"Even though the world of mobile has evolved to the point where you may not even remember the last time you pressed a button on a phone, the touchscreen leaves much to be desired. While it's perfectly fine for doing daily tasks and navigating the internet, which slowly takes years off your life, it can slip when it comes to providing controls for games. Now, some of the most successful games have managed to use the touchscreen mechanics to their advantage, but others (namely ports and anything more complex) struggle to use them in a way that feels precise and natural. Thankfully, there are controllers that can be linked to mobile devices, and 8BitDo may have stepped up with their 64 Bluetooth Controller. But what we need to ask is: How does it play? The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller ... [ MORE ]

Afterard review - "Take the 'Reigns' in a familiar way but in unfamiliar space"
Afterard review - "Take the 'Reigns' in a familiar way but in unfamiliar space"Things are never black and white in real life, and while it's actually the shades of grey that spice up real-world decisions, the dichotomy definitely simplifies things when it comes to video games.  Sorry - I guess I'm trying to give this a smart little intro, but really, it's all very Tinder-esque in Afterard and its swipe-left-swipe-right mechanic. I'm not even going to pretend it's reinventing the wheel either, as it definitely takes inspiration from the popular Reigns franchise in more ways than one - and that's not at all a bad thing. ... TOZO HT3 headphones review - "Great quality for the price"
TOZO HT3 headphones review - "Great quality for the price"When it comes to headphones, there are a lot of things that I look for. Comfort, battery life and of course the sound. There are tons of different headsets on the market, from ones that feel flashy to ones that have a flashy price tag. The TOZO HT3 is more of a sleek, subtle design at a very affordable price range. The TOZO HT3 is a matte black headset featuring the TOZO logo in silver on the side. There is also a bright orange button that really sticks out. Otherwise, it's a very plain-looking pair of headphones! The headset is plastic, with very soft earpieces on the side. They are also quite flexible, so you can wear them for a long amount of time without them really bothering you. I found these to be a lighter headset than many of the others I have tried out. ... Gunnar Hayward glasses review - "New age, yet retro"
Gunnar Hayward glasses review - "New age, yet retro"Gaming glasses can make all the difference when it comes to allowing you to spend more time gaming on your mobile or with computer screens. Staring at screens all day can cause your eyes to strain, which, in turn, can cause headaches. Gunnar has combatted this issue with their series of blue-light glasses, which can really help. Hayward is one of their newest pairs in the Trace Collection, which is inspired by California's tech hubs. It's more of a modern take on a retro frame, with a saddle bridge and small metal inlay details at the sides. This pair of glasses comes in two designs: Onyx, which is a plain, black look that feels very classic computer user and Teak, which is a little different. Teak is a grey-blue, with streaks in it, almost resembling wood in some of its texture. I found this colour variant to look more interesting and come out far lighter than the black! ... [ MORE ]

Gunnar Tindra glasses review - "A more feminine look"
Gunnar Tindra glasses review - "A more feminine look"Gunnar is known for their fantastic gaming glasses, which focus on allowing gamers to use screens for longer without the harsh side effects of looking at a bright screen all day. They've got lots of masculine looks, but their Kista Collection is aimed at more feminine and delicate pairs of glasses. The Gunnar Tindra is the latest addition to this collection, which was inspired by the Nordic technology hubs. This pair of glasses is slim yet full-rimmed, semi-translucent glasses that feel like they can be worn every day! This pair of glasses comes in two colours; Rose Latte, which is a light pink colour, and Smoky Quartz, which is more of a light blue that looks slightly grey.  ... [ MORE ]

Almost Out of Mana review - "Trying to make the most of magic!"
Almost Out of Mana review - "Trying to make the most of magic!"If you've been involved in any form of fantasy entertainment since the late 80s, then you've almost certainly come across the concept of mana. While the definition of this idea will change depending on the universe in which it exists, it is consistently connected to magic, frequently relying on it as a power source. So many JRPG characters have an MP (or Mana Point) counter that allows them to cast a variety of spells, from light to extremely heavy. This also means that any magic-based characters are essentially useless when their MP drops to zero. ... [ MORE ]

Last Asylum: Plague review - "Classic base-builder with a dash of plague"
Last Asylum: Plague review - "Classic base-builder with a dash of plague"If you know me even a little bit, you know I love a dark aesthetic in mobile games. I love the gacha element too, but that comes secondary here. Today's Last Asylum: Plague review will dive into all that this experience brings - the good, the bad, and the bubonic.
