Dead by Daylight: Best Killers to play together in 2v8 Mode
Dead by Daylight: Best Killers to play together in 2v8 Mode Dead by Daylight 2v8 Mode is a different beast from the standard game mode most players have mastered. It doubles the player count and removes the use of Perks or Add-Ons, meaning all characters are restricted to classes or their character's default skills. The Killers in Dead by Daylight 2v8 Mode keep their base powers, but instead of Perks or Add-Ons that enhance them, players have skills that boost them ever-so-slightly for the faster pace of this game mode. However, developer Behaviour Interactive has definitely tweaked the skills for each Killer so that some work better when played together than others do. There are definitely powerful pairings already present in the mode, and they're dominating Trials. The best Killers to play together in Dead by Daylight 2v8 Mode Screenshot by Destructoid While I've been playing Dead by Daylight 2v8 Mode , it's become clear that Killers are split into primary and secondary characters. Primary Killers are the main Killers in a duo who will actively hunt Survivors and instigate chases. Secondary Killers are those who will buff the primary Killer and swoop in after they've landed a hit on a Survivor to push the target into the dying state. With this in mind, I've put together a list below of what I believe are the best Killers to play together. I've added explanations for why I think these duos work so well to help guide you in how to play as either the primary or secondary Killer. The Trapper and The Wraith The Trapper is the primary Killer in this duo and should be setting Bear Traps to catch unsuspecting Survivors. The Wraith should stick close to them and remain cloaked until they either hit a Survivor or one gets caught in a Trap. At that point, they should rush the Survivor and deliver the final blow to put them down. The Wraith makes The Trapper harder to detect if the pair sticks together while The Wraith is cloaked. This is brilliant because it means the bulkier primary Killer can get out there and stomp around looking for prey while remaining relatively hard to notice if you're a Survivor. The Huntress and The Nurse The Huntress is the primary Killer here, and that player should focus only on hitting Survivors with thrown Hatchets. Each one signals The Nurse, who can then Blink to the Survivor and deal a second blow to put them into the dying state. The Nurse is so much more challenging to play, so it makes sense for her to finish Survivors off rather than lead the charge. She benefits from an additional Blink when sticking close to another Killer, so it makes much more sense for her to be holding back and only striking at the last second. The Hillbilly and The Wraith The Hillbilly isn't a primary Killer, but in this duo he can be. The Wraith should be cloaked at all times to hide The Hillbilly while he charges his Chainsaw. In 2v8 Mode, the Chainsaw Sprint only injures Survivors, so The Wraith must uncloak and deliver the second blow quickly as soon as The Hillbilly has launched into his attack. The Hillbilly is pretty difficult to control, but he can deal a lot of hits in quick succession, provided Survivors are bunched up. This makes it easier for The Wraith to hide in the shadows and pop out to hit those Survivors with a secondary blow after the crazed chainsaw-wielding Killer has already run into them.
