This excellent Fractal Design Torrent PC case is down to £100 from Amazon
This excellent Fractal Design Torrent PC case is down to £100 from Amazon It's fun when you can get a discount on a product simply by choosing a different colour, and that's exactly the case with this hefty Amazon reduction on the excellent Fractal Design Torrent PC case. In every other option, such as black or gray, and with different side panels or use of RGB, this case is between £165 and £205 on Amazon, but by going for it in white, you're saving an absolute fortune. This case looks gorgeous in white, in-keeping with the trend of white gaming PCs , while also carrying quite an industrial look to it, too. The Torrent is a case built for airflow with an open grille and a pair of included 180mm front fans for optimal air intake. Combined with yhis, you also get three other 140mm PWM fans for giving your case airflow, while the Torrent also comes with expansive base instakes and support for large fans on the bottom side to help cool your GPU. This is also a bit of an open-plan case to give you both a fair amount of room to build in, as well as to allow for as much air to circulate as possible. The Torrent's large amount of internal volume also works to its advantage for supporting larger components, such as the oversized E-ATX motherboards, as well as GPUs up to 461mm in length and taller CPU coolers up to 188mm in height. You also get some fantastic room when it comes to radiator support, with either a 360mm or 420mmm radiator supported in both the front and bottom. There is also support for a 120mm or 140mm fan in the rear as an exhaust, too. Read more

Grab this 12TB recertified WD Elements Desktop HDD for a bargain price from WD
Grab this 12TB recertified WD Elements Desktop HDD for a bargain price from WD Western Digital currently has this huge 12TB external drive in stock for £158, which is quite the incredible price. That works out to £13.16 per terabyte of storage, which is one of the best prices we've seen in recent months. If you're someone who's in need of a huge hard drive for, well, storin' a lot of stuff on, this might be the deal for you. Before I go any further, I should say this is a Recertified drive, according to WD's own standards. According to them, this means it's a drive that may be a customer return and may be repaired. They're all tested to meet Western Digital's quality standards, but may have some small signs of wear. From my personal experience, the handful of HDDs I've bought from Western Digital as Recertified in the past have all been virtually new, so I've recommended them as a place to purchase for a good while. The big thing with this drive is quite simply the size. 12TB is a lot of space, making it an ideal means for storing a lot of high-res media files on, whether it's music or video. Or, as an add-on to a NAS for adding even more capacity. You could also conceivably use this WD Elements drive as an external option for storing a burgeoning Steam library on, although load times won't be as snappy as compared to any of the best gaming SSDs - such is the way of the mechanical hard drive. In addition, you could do what I do and have it as a powered drive that's plugged into your PC as a backup drive for all the data on your PC. Read more

Grab this 1TB WD SN770M SSD for $30 off at Best Buy
Grab this 1TB WD SN770M SSD for $30 off at Best Buy We're seeing a lot more in the way of small form factor SSDs pop up on the market for use with the seemingly ever-growing sector of handheld games consoles including the likes of the Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally and more, as people seek to add even more internal storage. If you are one of those peeps, you'll be pleased to know that one of the best Steam Deck SSDs out there, the WD Black SN770M is marked down to $100 from Best Buy in 1TB form, giving you a handy saving on its $130 list price. In terms of speed, the SN770M provides some of the best numbers on this list, with up to 5150MB/s reads and 4000MB/s writes. Even if the actual speeds will be limited by the PCIe 3.0 interface, the SN770M is still capable of offering speedy storage compared to what's inside the Steam Deck already, whether you're upgrading from the internal SSD in some models, and especially if you're bumping up from the base model's comparably sluggish eMMC storage. Whatever way you cut it, the SN770M represents a major upgrade in terms of speed, as well as storage with a doubling at least compared to the 512GB drive inside top-model base Steam Decks and the mid-range Steam Deck OLED. Of course, this is a drive that can be fitted to other handheld consoles such as the Asus ROG Ally, and that's given its smaller M.2 2230 size, which means it fits perfectly into the 22mm x 30mm drive bay size allowed in these smaller consoles. You can try and use this in a more conventional sized PC if your motherboard supports an M.2 2230 drive, although at this moment, the more standard sized M.2 2280 drives in PCIe 4.0 form are much more powerful for much the same money, and arguably are easier to fit. This fantasic Seasonic 850W 80+ Gold PSU is just £100 from Scan Computers
This fantasic Seasonic 850W 80+ Gold PSU is just £100 from Scan Computers Seasonic is perhaps the most treasured name in PC power supplies, offering especially reliable units with fantastic efficiency and power. Today I've spotted a dealio on the high-end Focus GX 850W power supplies capable of running the fastest consumer graphics cards, from the GeForce RTX 4090 to the RX 7900 XTX. This power supply debuted at £160, but now it's available for £60 cheaper - £100 from Scan Computers - that's not bad going. As well as providing a ton of power for a high-end gaming PC, the Focus GX is recognised as being one of the best top-tier power supplies in the well-respected Cultists PSU Tier List (formerly of the LTT Forums). The fact this is an 80+ Gold rated PSU is testament to its efficiency, and also provides peace of mind, alongside the fact this is a great option from one of the market leaders in power supplies. This Focus GX option is also the successor to Seasonic's previous highy popular Focus lineup, putting it in good stead, while its 120mm fan is designed for quiet operation, and the fact it's modular is also pretty handy to allow for better airflow and less case clutter with your cables,. With this in mind, Scan is also bundling in a free 12VHPWR cable for hooking this PSU up to modern GPUs without a hitch. Read more

This Kingston A400 960GB SATA SSD is down to £47 from Amazon
This Kingston A400 960GB SATA SSD is down to £47 from Amazon For those wanting to upgrade their PC with faster storage than a mechanical hard drive, SATA SSDs remain an affordable and convenient means of doing so. This goes especially if you lack modern NVMe support, but you still want to reap the benefits of a solid state drive. To this end, the Kingston A400 is a reliable and reputable choice, and from Amazon, it's been reduced to £47 for 1TB. In doing the maths, this works out to a price of 4.7p per GB of storage, which isn't bad at all, considering how SSD prices have risen over the course of this year. For reference, the A400 first launched in 2018 with a price of £360 on Amazon. This means that in six years of being available, its price has dropped by nearly 90 percent. That isn't something you can really say too much, and helps to explain further why this deal on the A400 really is an absolute steal. Besides being some insane value for money on paper, the A400 represents a solid choice for upgrading old PCs or laptops on the cheap by giving them a much needed speed boost. Kingston rates the A400 with speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s in terms of its reads and writes, making it a fair bit quicker than the older mechanical hard drives you're likely to be replacing. I've personally added one of these into an older system before, and it makes for a quick and easy upgrade that sped the system up by quite some way. Read more

The phenomenal 32-inch 4K 240Hz Alienware QD-OLED is down to £850 at Dell UK
The phenomenal 32-inch 4K 240Hz Alienware QD-OLED is down to £850 at Dell UK For the past few months, I've been testing the Dell Alienware AW3225QF QD-OLED. This is pretty much the best gaming monitor you can get, with an expansive 32-inch 4K panel running at 240Hz. The third-generation curved QD-OLED panel at the heart of this monitor provides perfect contrast, near-instant pixel response times and excellent HDR performance, but you're often paying upwards of £1000 to get a monitor that uses it. Thankfully, Dell's pricing in the UK is a bit more reasonable, and today you can pick up this model for under £850 thanks to the discount code BFiJ5 . Read more

My boss' favourite massive PC case has received a price cut from Tech Next Day
My boss' favourite massive PC case has received a price cut from Tech Next Day If the deal posted yesterday on the popular Corsair 4000D Airflow case isn't for you, and you'd prefer a bigger PC case, boy do I have the dealio for you. The full tower 7000D is much the same as the 4000D and 5000D, only larger and with even better aesthetics, plus it's also the case of choice for the man who tells me what to do - Will Judd. From Tech Next Day, it's £220 in black, which provides a handy £50 saving on its price elsewhere. The first thing you'll notice about the 7000D is its sheer size. As opposed to being a mid-tower case like most conventional PC cases, this is a full tower choice that's two feet tall and comes with an internal volume of 80 litres. With this in mind, you'll be able to fit even an oversized E-ATX motherboard in here, as well as having plenty of room for especially long GPUs up to 450mm in length, and CPU air coolers with lofty ambitions with heights of up to 190mm. You can also fit up to 12 fans in the 7000D on three sides, while there is also ample support for radiators. To be precise, you can get room for three 360mm radiators simultaneously, or a pair of 420mm radiators at the same time. For helping to cool your system out of the box, Corsair bundles three 140mm PWM case fans inside the 7000D, while with this being the Airflow model, it means the glass panels are swapped out with mesh to allow for more air to be pulled through your case where it's needed. In addition, this case also has some excellent cable management solutions with lots of points for tying them down, as well as with 30mm of space behind the motherboard on a hinged door. You also get the benefit of a solid selection of I/O that beats a lot of other premium PC cases. The big thing here is the number of USB-A ports. The 7000D has four of them, while a lot of other cases have only two. Combined with this, you also get a USB-C port and a headphone jack- neat. Read more

Save £75 on the 4TB Crucial P3 Plus SSD from Scan Computers
Save £75 on the 4TB Crucial P3 Plus SSD from Scan Computers Crucial's P3 Plus has oftentimes been a drive I've recommended simply due to its excellent price to performance ratio. It's a great mid-range PCIe 4.0 option with good speeds, and in this 4TB size, a larger capacity. From Scan Computers, it's received a handy price cut to bring it down to the best price we've seen it at for months - £175 - down from £250. The read and write speeds on offer of of 5000MB/s and 4200MB/s respectively means it's going to be a handy upgrade to any older solid state drives you have in your system, as well as a game-changing upgrade over any older mechanical hard drives that you may happen to still be using in your PC. What's more, the P3 Plus' random read and writes of 680K and 850K IOPS means that it offers especially quick load times in games, too, if you wanted to run your Steam library from it, for instance. That's certainly possible, and those speeds help the P3 Plus to be one of the speedier options out there, even if they are a little bit below the absolute quickest and best gaming SSDs we've tested. Four terabytes of capacity gives you oodles of space for using the P3 Plus as a boot drive, as well as a storage drive for all sorts of important local files, such as media, documents and a burgeoning Steam library, especially with some AAA games pushing triple figures in terms of their install size. When putting this into a PC, you'll just have to be sure you've got a motherboard that supports PCIe 4.0 - to save you the hassle, that's anything from the last four or five years now - and you should be golden.
