Other game developers like Rockstar Games did not forget to treat these NPC shopkeepers in Red Dead Redemption 2 like real people and for players to be immersed in a digital world with realistic qualities and features. Most shops are closed by nightfall and players cannot access their services until morning.

Director Todd Howard realized game development takes a toll and is quite time-consuming; however, he is not willing to risk releasing a project ahead of time to meet certain release windows and succumbs to the pressure from the gaming community. Microsoft executives convinced Howard to delay Starfield until the whole ZeniMax acquisition was finalized and give the developers enough time to polish the game which benefitted it for the most part.

The Shattered Space Expansion Could Redeem the Base Game for Its Shortcomings

The base game has been released for a year and Bethesda Game Studios is stoking the flames to build hype for the upcoming expansion. The expansion will introduce new worlds that could be the home of hostile species to improve enemy variety, paired with new items. Bethesda has high hopes for this franchise and will likely include more interesting content in the coming years.
