One Of The First Games For Switch 2 Is Not Nintendo’s Own, But A Crowdfunded Title Sure to Exceed Expectations Like Cyberpunk 2077

The Nintendo Switch 2 is at the top of the wishlist of every Nintendo fan. The Switch was a massive triumph, and the engineers can replicate the same success by taking everything great about the current model and adding timely upgrades to keep up with the trend nowadays for a powerful gaming handheld.

While rumors and leaks have been rampant these past few months, it is evident that the next-gen console is closer than most would expect. Game developers are now getting ready and Pathea Games all but confirmed its next project will launch on that console thanks to the gaming community’s support.

The original Nintendo Switch was released in 2017 and was later revised with a better battery in 2019 alongside the launch of the Switch Lite and another 2 years later, the Switch OLED hit store shelves. The console is running on fumes and is barely keeping up with other major competitors to run massive triple-A games.

Rumors suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released sometime between April and June of next year which is not a long wait. The console has welcomed smaller games made by indie developers like Pathea Games as the studio kickstarted crowdfunding for My Time at Evershine which is confirmed to launch on various gaming consoles.

It is among the first of many upcoming games launching on the Switch successor alongside first-party franchises like Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Traditionally, new Pokémon games would be released annually; however, this year did not have any new content. Perhaps the developers are taking their time to familiarize themselves with the hardware.

The Nintendo Switch 2 could still be a hybrid console, a mixture of a dedicated handheld and a traditional home console that could benefit Pathea Games with its new project. My Time at Evershine is an upcoming simulation and adventure game and players could play it on the go or in the comfort of their homes, and this game could fare better than other major releases in the past few years.

Cyberpunk had the potential to be a great open-world game; however, it was released in the worst state imaginable. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One couldn’t handle the dumpster fire until the video game was patched, it is hard to imagine what the game would look like on the Nintendo Switch.

The modding community on the PC platform took matters into their own hands and added a photorealistic mod that made the game look stunning. Rumors suggest that the Switch 2 will be on par with the PlayStation 4 Pro in regards to horsepower, having that much graphical power in the palm of one’s hands is revolutionary.

Pathea Games aimed for a modest budget but the community’s generosity knows no bounds. Hopefully, these donations will be put to good use and reflect heavily on the final product.
