A free update will appear in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on December 12, 2024. After this update goes live, all stages will appear in local versus mode.
You can read details of this free update via the official Bandai Namco website. As a note, Bandai Namco will conduct maintenance from 12 to 2 AM PST/3AM to 6 AM EST on December 12, 2024 so it can implement the update. The addition of all stages in local PvP mode is the biggest part of this update. There will also be some QoL changes, such as a function to change a character’s display method and a “My Sets” function for team members. Online matches will also let you skip the intro battle animation provided that both players agree to skip it as well.
As for adjustments to the battle system, there will be the new High-Speed Dragon Dash action. It lets you quickly close the distance between you and your opponent. There are multiple other tweaks as well. For example, if you’re charging a Smash Attack, your opponent will no longer be able to stun you with a Rush Ki Blast. You can also move while deflecting Rush Ki Blasts.
Finally, there will be some adjustments for: Android 19, Dr. Gero, Cell 2nd Form, Cooler, Great Ape Vegeta, and Dr. Wheelo. All of the changes, including more details about battle system adjustments and functionality, are available on the Bandai Namco page for this Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero update.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is readily available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
