CD Projekt has announced a new Cyberpunk animation in partnership with Netflix as Cyberpunk 2077 tops 30 million in sales.
Piotr Nielubowicz, the chief financial officer of CD Projekt, has announced Cyberpunk 2077 has topped 30 million sales, with the Phantom Liberty expansion selling eight million units during the company’s quarterly earnings results and has mentioned that both were very important to him as they had previously announced the game and expansion will be coming to Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon Chips next year. With this accomplishment, Piotr Nielubowicz has shared the news that they are working on another Cyberpunk animation, released on Netflix.
As Netflix has previously teased plans for the new Cyberpunk animation series back in September, it wasn’t confirmed if the project would collaborate with Studio Trigger again, as they were the Tokyo-based company that animated Cyberpunk Edgerunners and help alongside Netflix to boost the sales of Cyberpunk 2077 following its release in 2022.
Alongside the announcement of the new Cyberpunk animation, the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, codenamed Project Orion, is being headed by CD Projekt Red’s new North American Arms, which has a studio in Boston and Vancouver. The studio has said that the game development outside of Europe could mean the next Cyberpunk game will be more authentically American. But for those who are fans of The Witcher series, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 4 has entered a full-scale production.
