The Original Resident Evil 3 to Release on PC Through GoG
The original version of Resident Evil 3 will release for PC through GoG . It will be available on September 25, 2024, with consumers available to purchase it individually or as part of GoG's Resident Evil bundle. GoG hasn't listed a price for individual purchase, but the Resident Evil bundle is available for $24.99, and includes the original versions of the first game and it's sequel, Resident Evil 2 .

The PC version that will appear on GoG will support English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese text options, but will only be available with English audio. Like all games released through GoG, it will come DRM free.
Mercenaries Mode will be available in this version of the game, it will include new rendering options improved video subtitles, issue-less task switching, and full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis originally released in June 2000 for the PlayStation. It then appeared on PC, and subsequently the Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo GameCube. The game stars Jill Valentine, a former member of S.T.A.R.S., who must escape the nightmarish hordes of zombies and the imposing Nemesis while uncovering Umbrella's involvement in the Raccoon City incident.
The original Resident Evil 3 will release on PC through GoG on September 25, 2024.

Devil May Cry Anime Adaptation Will Release on Netflix in 2025
Netflix announced the Devil May Cry anime adaptation will release through the streaming service in April 2025. Alongside this announcement, a two minute long trailer was shared, which showcases several scenes from the adaptation and gives viewers a taste of of the action.
A list of voice actors that will lend their talents to the various characters of the Devil May Cry series in the adaptation have yet to be announced. However, Dante does a fair amount of talking, and it's clear that this is a younger take on the famous (or infamous) devil hunter.

In November 2018 , Adi Shankar, who brought the Castlevania Netflix adaptation to life, announced he was working on Devil May Cry . While development or further news on the Devil May Cry adaptation was scarce, a short teaser trailer appeared in 2023.
In November 2022, Capcom announced Devil May Cry V had moved up it's Platinum Titles list. It currently sits in tenth place, just behind the Resident Evil 3 remake, at over 8 million units sold worldwide. Up until the release of Devil May Cry V , the series had otherwise been dormant after the release of Devil May Cry 4 and it's first anime adaptation. Devil May Cry has received a light novel, a short-lived manga series taking place during the events of the third game, and even a stage play exclusive to Japan.
The Devil May Cry Neftlix anime will release in April 2025.

Original Resident Evil 2 Heads to GOG Alongside Game Bundle
CD Projekt Red, GOG, and Capcom announced that the original Resident Evil 2 will join the GOG library on August 27, 2024, ahead of a release of the third game later this year. There will also be a bundle that packs it up with the first and third game that will be available ahead of the Resident Evil 3 launch.
The product page is already live on GOG, noting what people can expect from its version of the original Resident Evil 2 . As expected, it will be playable on Windows 10 and 11, even though it wasn’t before, and there will be no DRM or always online requirement. This version will have new rendering options like Windowed Mode, adjusted cutscenes and subtitles, improved Direct X, a save game manager, and controller support. There will also be bug fixes from the original release, with problems in Rooms 114, 115, 210, and 409 noted to be fixed. You also don’t need to unlock 4th Survivor or Tofu modes for this version. Controller support is present, including for modern options, and the subtitle language options are English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.

As for the bundle, people can already buy it for $24.99. It includes all three original Resident Evil games with some optimization adjustments. People get Resident Evil and its sequel right away. The page noted the third entry will also appear in 2024.
The original Resident Evil 2 will join GOG on August 27, 2024. It originally appeared on the Dreamcast, GameCube, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and PC worldwide. The remake of it can be found on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch (via a Cloud version).

Resident Evil Bundle Puts Classic Games on Windows 10, 11
A Resident Evil bundle is now available on GOG . It contains the first three games, though the second and third will come out later.
All three games are compatible on Windows 10 and 11. You’ll be able to use a controller to play, and there will be support in six different language. While the bundle makes you pay for all three games, Resident Evil 2 and 3 won’t come out until later in 2024. But if you purchased the bundle, you’ll automatically see them in your library after they come out. If you don’t know if you want to buy them, you can also purchase the first game on its own .
Resident Evil to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis were on the original PlayStation console before Resident Evil 4 (the next mainline title, but not the next title in the series) appeared on the GameCube. Not only was 4 on a different console, but it was also drastically different when it came to the gameplay. Instead of a fixed camera, there was a dynamic over-the-shoulder one. It also emphasized action more, such as in the usage of quick-time events. While 2 and 3 have more modern remakes that make use of polished graphics and controls, some people may want to experience the original game and GOG has made it easier to do so.
The Resident Evil bundle is available on GOG for Windows PC. Resident Evil 2 and 3 will appear later in 2024.

Hunter x Hunter Artist Yoshihiro Togashi Resident Evil Art Shared
The Resident Evil X (Twitter) account has shared some artwork of Yoshihiro Togashi’s take on Jill and Nemesis in an old Resident Evil 3 official guidebook. This was in response to Togashi sharing art on the first Resident Evil game.
On May 27, 2024 , Togashi uploaded a picture he did of the main characters from Resident Evil . From left to right, we can see Jill, Chris, Barry, and Rebecca. There’s also a zombie in the background. In response, the Resident Evil Twitter account QRT-ed Togashi with a picture that he did in the Resident Evil 3 guidebook.

In the picture, he celebrates Jill’s return. Underneath it, he jokes that two options might not be enough to change a fate (as a reference to how Resident Evil 3: Nemesis had different endings depending on your choices). In the Nemesis speech bubble, Togashi had Nemesis say that he was happy to see a familiar face since he liked the first game more than the second.
He also added that he can’t help but chase after her because of her mini-skirt. On the side of it, Togashi comments on how the dodge mechanic could be very effective depending on how you use it. He wonders if it’s possible to clear the game without using too many bullets, thanks to dodge.
Finally, in the bubble next to Jill, Togashi reminds players to take a good look at the Game Over screen without resetting immediately. This is because Jill might be using the last moments of her life to give “fanservice,” with her miniskirt being a hint as to what Togashi means. He then calls himself terrible in the corner of the speech bubble.
Yoshihiro Togashi is a manga artist known for his work on Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter .
