Everything About the Floating Loot Island

Loot islands give players nearby a chance to get their hands on loot that would be very difficult or impossible to find any other way. While before they become available about halfway through a match, this is no longer the case, and now they take even longer to make an appearance.

The floating island will start to rift onto the island before the fourth Storm Circle, and they will only actually appear once the fourth Storm Circle starts closing in Fortnite, which means, gamers will only be able to come face to face with it if they make it to the end-game phase of the match.

A marker will appear on the player's map once a Loot Island has rifted onto the island. They should always consider going there if they are nearby because it has great loot that can provide a clear advantage when continuing the match afterward. It is important to be cautious when approaching the island, as enemies might have already reached and claimed the location.

The loot island is one of the few Chapter 5 locations that has a Mod Bench.

The island floats, and it will spawn high up in the sky. In order to reach it, players can either take the ziplines that are attached to it all around or use one of the rifts that will also be on the ground nearby.

In previous seasons, the island looked exactly like the small island in the middle of Chapter 1's Loot Lake. However, it has been completely modified for Winterfest so players will find Crackshot's Cabin instead.

Players can claim this location by standing near the Capture Point until the meter is full. Once they've done this, loot will pop out of it, and all chests in the nearby area will be highlighted.
