Baldur 3 mod support will be the last major update: after that it will be handed over to the players

Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, said that Baldur's Gate 3 will receive official MOD support in the upcoming patch, which will be a "handover" moment for the development team and players.

Swen Vincke said at the BAFTA program, "One of the big things for us, and one of the big things we are working on now, is to allow players to modify Baldur's Gate 3 themselves, because then they can make their own things, and I think that's when we can say, 'Okay, now it's completely yours.'"

When asked if he was looking forward to this "final handover moment," Vincke answered firmly, "Yes." This also means that this patch will be the last major update for Baldur's Gate 3.
