The PlayStation Midnight Collection Introduces Black Versions Of The DualSense Edge, Portal, Pulse Explore, And Pulse Elite

PlayStation has announced a new Midnight Black colourway for the DualSense Edge, PlayStation Portal, Pulse Explore earbuds, and Pulse Elite headset. All accessories in this range are set to release on February 20.

PlayStation’s core line-up of premium accessories is getting a darker and sexier new look. Previously available in the two-tone white and black (with the exception of the 30th-anniversary editions), these four peripherals will soon be purchasable in all black.

I can speak to the excellence of the DualSense Edge controller, with the extra bells, whistles, backpaddles and customisation options making it the only controller I use on the daily. It’s a near-perfect controller, but it is pricey. That said, as of today, it’s dropped a few bucks to a measly $329.95. Nah, it’s still expensive.

We’ve also spent some time with the PlayStation Portal, saying in our review that “Despite some glaring design errors, the PlayStation Portal is now the best way to dive into Remote Play if you’re keen for it, and the asking price isn’t too steep for you.”

Are you going to snag some of these accessories now that they’ve gone dark? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
