GTA 6 Needs to Be Shameful and Steal an Idea from an 8 Year Old Ubisoft Game

GTA 6 is the next long-awaited mainline entry in Rockstar’s iconic franchise. It has kept fans eagerly anticipating its release for years, and with roots of the franchise tracing back to the late ‘90s, the Grand Theft Auto series has been evolving ever since, always bringing something new to the popular gameplay.

The upcoming title, set for release in late 2025, has been a subject of debate among its die-hard fans, focusing on what features the game should include, with some turning to ideas from other games for inspiration. One such suggestion involves borrowing a feature from Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2

GTA 6 Should Copy Watch Dogs 2’s Rival Gang Interactions

In Watch Dogs 2, Ubisoft used all its flair with the sophisticated system where different factions could interact and even fight against each other in real-time. This would occasionally happen, while players could witness or provoke these conflicts without direct participation.

Legal factions would band together against a common enemy, whether it was the player or another faction. On the other hand, illegal factions, such as gangs, would start battles not only with each other but also against law enforcement, creating in-game chaos.

These interactions were accompanied by on-screen messages, notifying the player when a conflict was occurring, making the world come alive.

Integrating this feature into an already impeccable universe that the GTA franchise has built over the decades, would only improve immersion.

Imagine driving through the streets of Vice City in GTA 6 when suddenly a spontaneous shootout between rival gangs breaks out or being caught in the crossfire between a gang and the police. This could make players feel like they are experiencing real-life scenarios in gang-run cities.

Players Have Many Ideas About the Feature

This sparked significant discussion among fans, with fans not shying away from sharing their own ideas and insights.

One player said that if rival gangs were to come into contact, they should start with a melee brawl that could escalate into a full-blown gunfight if tensions rise or more members join in.

While GTA 6 is a long way from its release date, fans of the franchise have been awaiting it for years, as the previous GTA title came out in 2013. These speculations and ideas are not surprising as fans won’t settle for a game that isn’t perfect.

Whether Rockstar resorts to fan ideas, or they have something similar in store, remains to be seen when the game actually comes out.

What are your thoughts on this feature coming to GTA 6? Should Rockstar implement it into the game, or do you have some other ideas? Let us know in the comments below.
