“Writing is on the wall now”: Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 to Debut on PS5 and PS5 Pro ‘Within 6 Months’

Bethesda’s Starfield is one of the biggest Xbox titles that launched last year and despite some issues, fans have found the game to be engaging. After Xbox ported four of its first-party titles to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, there have been rumors that more games could follow suit.

One of those titles is Starfield, among other popular Xbox games such as Forza Horizon 5. Although nothing has been confirmed officially yet, there are reports that Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 could soon come to both PS5 and PS5 Pro, within six months.

Starfield PS5 Version and Forza Horizon 5 Are Rumored to Be Only a Few Months Away

After Xbox’s announcement that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will come to PlayStation 5 in Spring 2025 after its initial launch for Xbox, PC, and Switch on December 9, 2024, almost every other game seems fair to make it to PS5.

Moreover, there have been many rumors of Starfield coming to PS5 eventually, and recently Forza Horizon 5 was also in the news too. As per reports, it doesn’t look too far now. According to established leaker, Timdog, both games are being worked on to launch on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro.

These games are said to be making it to PS5 in the next six months. There have been multiple reports in the past that Xbox wants to bring the game to PS5 and is targeting the release around the Shattered Space expansion.

Now that it is known that the expansion launches on September 30, 2024, the PS5 release may be planned sometime around next year and the same goes for Forza Horizon 5, if the rumors are to be believed. However, it is advised that fans wait for an official announcement before getting their hopes up.

The PS5 Pro Launch Also Corroborates These Rumors

Horizon 5 is the latest entry in the Forza series and is one of the best games in the franchise. The game has won multiple awards and sits on Metacritic with a score of 92. Also, players on PS5 have been waiting for Starfield to come to Sony’s console.

Given that there have been reports of the PS5 Pro launching sometime this year, the games may release for the consoles in the next six months. As per reports, PS5 Pro was an “open-secret” at the recently concluded Gamescom 2024 and is planning to launch by the end of this year.

The PS5 Pro could go on sale in October or November 2024 and will be a significant upgrade over the current PS5 model. It is said to have a more powerful GPU and a faster CPU. It will have nearly three times more power than the current PS5 for ray tracing, AI upscaling, and more.

Both these titles are quite demanding and it makes sense that Xbox wants to wait for a more powerful PS5 Pro console so that players can have the best experience playing these games.
