A near-life-sized balloon of Zinogre from the Monster Hunter series will appear temporarily at Haneda Airport's Terminal 2. It will become the primary spotlight of a Capcom pop-up store that it will set up in collaboration with Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd., the company that manages the airport's first two terminals.
People will be able to spot the Zinogre balloon throughout the 2025 New Year holidays from December 23, 2024, until January 13, 2025. The balloon will be around 4.5 meters (~14'9") tall and 10 meters (~32'10") long. Capcom chose Zinogre because it won the Hunter's Choice popularity poll during the Monster Hunter 20th anniversary event in 2024.
Capcom will also place physical demo builds of Monster Hunter Wilds at the airport on the last three days of the event in January 2025. This demo will be the same as the one that appeared at Tokyo Game Show 2024 and Jump Festa 2025, as it will mostly let players hunt the Doshaguma.
The pop-up store will primarily feature early-bird sales of new And Chips sweaters featuring the Felyne and Melynx priced at 6,930 yen (~$45.10) each. However, Monster Hunter will not be the only franchise to have its merchandise sold at the store. Capcom will also sell items based on other series like Resident Evil and Street Fighter.
The Capcom pop-up store at Terminal 2 of Haneda Airport, which includes a near-life-sized display balloon of Zinogre, will appear from December 23, 2024, until January 13, 2025. Physical demo builds of Monster Hunter Wilds will also appear at the airport on the last three days on January 11-13, 2025.
