How to Change Language in Overwatch 2?

Overwatch 2 features a diverse cast of characters, attracting players worldwide to this popular shooter. However, the game defaults to English, and changing the language can be a bit tricky. The language selection is based on your location, and the process for switching languages in Overwatch 2 differs by platform, which can add to the confusion.

Here’s a guide on how to change the language in Overwatch 2 for all platforms.  

Overwatch 2: Here’s how to change the language

For PC users, you can change the language of Overwatch 2 through Battle.net:  

• Open the Battle.net desktop application and log into your account.  
• Select the Overwatch 2 game icon and click the gear icon to access the options menu.
• Go to Game Settings, where you can choose from various text and spoken language options.
• Click Done.

The launcher will start downloading the new language pack for Overwatch 2.  

Overwatch 2: Changing language on consoles

On PS5, you can’t change the in-game language settings directly. Instead, you need to modify your console’s language settings to change the language in Overwatch 2.

PlayStation 5 users should go to the Settings menu on their console, then navigate to System > Language to adjust the in-game language. Keep in mind that not all languages are supported by Overwatch 2, so the options may vary.  

Xbox

For Xbox users, head to the Settings menu and select System > Language and Location. In this menu, you can change your language, location, and regional language settings. After making your changes, launch Overwatch 2.

Nintendo Switch

To change the language on your Nintendo Switch, navigate to Settings > System and select your preferred language.  

On PC, you can have English text while using non-English voiceovers. However, when you change the language on a console, both the text and voice will be affected. If you struggle to read the new language on your console, switching back to English might be difficult, so make sure you know how to revert the settings if needed.
