“All his attacks could be based around Infinity Stones”: It Will be an Epic Day When Marvel Rivals Welcomes the Best MCU Villain as a Playable Character

With two successful test phases now under its belt, it’s safe to say that Marvel Rivals is going to be a game that completely redefines the hero-shooter genre and clamps down titans such as Overwatch 2 and Apex Legends.

One of the biggest reasons behind Marvel Rivals‘ success is its extensive and relatively well-balanced roster of fan-favorite characters that gamers can’t get enough of! However, the game is still missing one of the best MCU villains, who could thoroughly shake the meta from the ground up if he makes it to the game.

Marvel Rivals Must Bring this Iconic MCU Villain

It’s a known fact that Thanos is one of the deadliest Marvel Comics villains of all time, as his greed for power and lust for death made him truly a terrifying opponent. Even without cosmic artifacts such as the Infinity Gauntlet or the Cosmic Cube,  Thanos is insanely powerful and can shred through anything that stands in his way in a matter of seconds.

While he may have achieved widespread fame thanks to MCU, Thanos has always been a mainstay in Marvel-related media since his very first appearance back in the 70s. Despite that, the upcoming Marvel Rivals doesn’t feature the character upon launch.

Do yall think thanos will be a character? And if he is do u think he’ll be based of the movies or the comics

NetEase Games’ silence around Thanos has led gamers to theorize about whether the character will eventually make its way to the game. Many believe that if the developers take the route of movies and base him around his collection of Infinity Stones, he could prove to be a force to be reckoned with.

One player thinks that Thanos’ ultimate could be a snap, just like the movies and the comics, which deal damage to all nearby enemies.

Few in the community believe that Thanos’ addition to Marvel Rivals would be better through a brand-new game mechanic such as Boss characters. These could be limited to only 1 per team, as they’re simply too overpowered.

Others believe Thanos comes with the natural bulk, which would make him a perfect choice for the Tank role, allowing him to synergize well with other characters.

There’s a high chance that NetEase is saving up the character for the game’s future updates. An iconic character such as Thanos could pull millions of players in an instant, so if things go wrong for the game, it could be saved with his addition.

Thanos is too big of a character to be neglected in such a game. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that NetEase has plans to debut him eventually; otherwise, it will truly be a massive disappointment.
