Sony has revealed its most-downloaded PS5 games in the US and Canada for April, and for the third month in a row, Helldivers 2 is on top. In fact, Helldivers has been the No. 1 most-downloaded game on PSN in the US since it debuted in February.
Helldivers 2 regularly gets new content and updates, so it's not a big surprise to see it continue to perform well due to positive word-of-mouth. The game was recently embroiled in controversy pertaining to the PC edition, but Sony eventually changed course.
A new release on PS5 was Microsoft's Sea of Thieves, which was No. 3 in the US/Canada and No. 1 in Europe. The game achieved these strong results despite releasing at the end of April (the game came out in early access on April 25 before its full launch on April 30).
Also of note is that Fallout 4 ranks on this list (No. 14) because of Bethesda's recent next-gen update that was deemed a new release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Stellar Blade, and GTA V both ranked in the top 10 across the US/Canada and Europe as well.
You can see the full list below, as well as the most-downloaded PS4, PlayStation VR, and free-to-play games in the US for last month. Sony published these lists on its blog recently.
