As we wait for the release of Dune: Awakening, the upcoming survival MMO, this might be what you need to keep the excitement running. The preset looks stunningly similar to the character and will most likely be a go-to for fans going forward.

Starfield Might Give You The Dune Experience You Need

Modding is a big part of Bethesda’s titles and Starfield is no different. Like Skyrim before it, the game features a massive library of mods that can change anything from the color of an item to the entire world. The new character preset was posted on NexusMods by Akiba91 and is a stunning recreation of Paul Atreides from Dune.

And if you’re a fan of the franchise then there’s even more Dune content on the horizon. One of the most ambitious projects currently in the works is the Project Arrakis mod. Developed by a solo creator known as Questionthis, the mod transforms the barren McClure III planet into Arrakis, the iconic desert world from Frank Herbert’s Dune universe.

This mod is particularly exciting for fans because of its detailed recreation of the universe. From handcrafted points of interest to settlements, new creatures, and even Fremen factions, the modders are working hard to ensure the authenticity of the experience.

Players can expect to explore caves, harvest spice, and face off against formidable enemies, all while navigating a beautifully crafted desert landscape.

The mod’s creator has confirmed that sandworms will eventually be part of the experience. Based on the vanilla game’s Larva creature, these sandworms are still in development. This mod will be an even better experience for those eagerly awaiting the upcoming game.

Fans Will Have To Occupy Themselves With These Mods While Waiting

Dune: Awakening, developed by Funcom, promises to be an open-world survival MMO set on the iconic desert planet. While the game shares some thematic similarities with Starfield, particularly in terms of exploration and customization, it will focus more on multiplayer.

Described as a hybrid between survival and MMORPG genres, the game will challenge players to navigate the treacherous sands, fend off colossal sandworms, and compete for valuable Spice resources.

In the game, players will face numerous challenges as they struggle to survive on Arrakis. Players will also have to make strategic use of the desert’s resources, including Spice, to build their power, craft items, and maintain their survival.

Mods in Starfield are currently only available to PC users. But players on Xbox have limited access to Bethesda-curated mods. Nonetheless, the creativity of the game’s modding community will only continue to expand.
