Hololive Vtuber Momosuzu Nene Taking Another Hiatus

Cover and Momosuzu Nene of Hololive announced that the Vtuber will be going on hiatus. In a proxy message released on her social media, the performer said that the troubles she is currently experiencing turned out to be bigger than she thought.

The message, which was made on her behalf and appeared on her X (formerly Twitter) personal account, started with the Vtuber apologizing for the sudden cancellation of her streams. Momosuzu Nene continued saying that she will be back soon and encouraged fans to watch previous archived live streams.

Cover also shared a post in which the company said that Nene temporarily suspended her live streams and her social media activities. Cover also confirmed that she might continue to appear in previously scheduled projects and events. Furthermore, fellow Hololive Vtuber Omaru Polka shared another post in which she thanked Nene for attending a recent fan meeting in spite of her hardships.

While the Vtuber gave no specific reason for the current hiatus, it might be linked to a previous hiatus she had to take earlier in 2024. Back in late March 2024, Nene announced that she contracted COVID-19 again and needed to take time off to fully recover.

Momosuzu Nene announced that she will be taking an indetermined hiatus and time off from streaming and social media. The Vtuber promised to return soon.
