The PS5 Pro has not been the most well-kept secret in the industry, as Sony has not tried really hard to hide their intentions while staying silent on the matter at the same time. This announcement for a 9-minute presentation hosted by Mark Cerny might be where the rumors finally come to an end.

Sony is yet to give an official announcement regarding the PS5 Pro, which might take place during the 9-minute technical presentation scheduled for September 10th at 11 EST, 8 PST, and 4 p.m. BST.

Rumors about the console’s design, graphical capabilities, storage, and potential size are already prevalent in the market, and it is only a matter of time before these speculations solidify with an official announcement during the 9-minute technical presentation.

Up till now, there have been talks about many potential upgrades coming to the latest console. These speculations derive their roots following Sony’s pattern of mid-cycle console upgrades in the past.

Sony started removing the 8K promises from the PS5 slim boxes in the past after a failed firmware implant, paving the way for it to make a comeback with the PS5 Pro. The Pro version is speculated to feature major hardware upgrades, including a more powerful GPU with better ray tracing and improved frame rates capable of resolutions up to 8k with improved support for virtual reality.

AMD will continue to be the predominant partner, and the PS5 Pro might be loaded with an upgraded Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3-based GPU for improved performance.

Cooling has been one of the major issues for the console, and the PS5 Pro is rumored to tackle it as well. The Pro version will be coming with an improved cooling system, potentially using a liquid cooling method for improved results.

Billbil-kun, a trusted leaker in the gaming industry also revealed the design for the latest console that looks very much like the slim versions with black stripes on either side of it.

The PS5 Pro will be potentially released in the latter half of 2024 or in early 2025. If the rumors are true, then the same will be confirmed today during the technical presentation by Mark Cerny.

The rumored price range for the console is speculated to fall somewhere between $600-$800. Sony has also increased the price of the PS5 in Japan, with the same planned for many more countries in the future.

It is important to note that the things mentioned are based on speculations and rumors that have been revolving around the gaming world for a while. Sony has not mentioned anything about a pro version as of now, but that might change during the presentation today. Do you think that today’s presentation will include a PS5 Pro announcement?
