Marvel Rivals will be bringing players into the shoes of some of Marvel’s most famous heroes in an exciting 6v6 shooter. It’s being crafted by NetEase Games and clearly shares a lot of striking similarities with genre stars such as Valorant and Overwatch 2 but with a Marvel twist.
While it remains to be seen if a blend like that can succeed, there’s a ton of potential for a title like this. However, the studio can take the game to the next level if they copy this one feature from the popular title MultiVersus.
Fans are finally able to enjoy MultiVersus again after its official release on 28th May, with many players having the opportunity to once again get grips with the game’s huge roster of fighters.
Of course, the game’s largest appeal is how it has managed to pull its characters from various Warner Brothers franchises, but one of the most interesting things in the game is announcer packs.
By unlocking and activating different announcers, gamers can have their favorite characters make various comments in the game while they take it out against their enemies. With Marvel Rivals release right on the horizon, many in the community believe that such announcer packs would make a perfect addition to the game.

It’s clear that gamers are tired of seeing the same old-boring battle passes that push recycled content that’s not even worth using half of the time. An announcer pack could be the perfect addition to the shooter title and help take the game’s immersion to the next level.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to announcer packs! We have a range of iconic characters in the game, such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America.
Players will be able to experience the personalized quips, taunts, and motivation lines from such characters while fighting against their enemies. It’s truly an epic way to create an authentic Marvel experience.
With Marvel Rivals being worked on by ex-Battlefield and Call of Duty developer NetEase, players are excited to see what a blend of their favorite superhero games with the frantic, fun 6v6 FPS game could look like.
From what we’ve seen so far, it seems like Marvel Rivals will be released in Q1 or Q2 2025. The developers already gave PC players a preview of the game in a closed alpha test back in May, allowing a select few to test the title’s pulse-pounding 6v6 multiplayer matches and a fraction of rosters.
However, gamers looking forward to trying out Marvel Rivals on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 will be able to experience the title in the upcoming closed beta test, which will be take place in late July going into early August. Marvel Rivals looks to be a phenomenal take on the hero-shooter genre popularized by Overwatch 2, and July’s beta will surely help it improve.
