GTA 6 is set to be released sometime next year and the gaming community is ready to see what Rockstar Games has been working on for the past decade. The fans have been waiting for the highly anticipated sequel and recent spec leaks seemingly suggest one platform is the way to experience this game.
Previous games performed well across various gaming platforms but the upcoming game is set to launch on Sony and Microsoft hardware, leaving out the PC community. Although gaming PCs are vastly superior to regular home consoles, Sony is giving them a run for their money.
Rockstar Games already anticipated the level of hype for the next major Grand Theft Auto project after the success of GTA 5. The gaming community is a nervous wreck after a problem that does not even exist that involves GTA 6 potentially running at a locked 30 FPS which is way below the standard for how a modern triple-A game should perform.
The debate of which console can run the game best is over after rumored spec sheets of the PlayStation 5 Pro surfaced, and rumors have it, that Sony will utilize cutting-edge technology that will push the boundaries and leave the competition in the dust.
And the panic sets in as people realize the PS5 Pro has features that have not been released on PC yet and will be part of the next flagship AMD GPUs.

I know where I will be playing GTA 6.
Its going to be full downhill for Xbots from here onwards. Terminal velocity. 😭🤣 pic.twitter.com/cOli1wZXK2
The PC players will not only have to wait for Rockstar Games to announce a port but also see the game running on a much more powerful device than their gaming rigs. The developers never prioritized the PC platform and are more focused on the flagship home consoles.
Imagine getting GTA VI on anything other than PS5 Pro in 2025. 😭

The PS5 Pro version will be the definitive version for 12-18 months, with vastly superior graphics and a performance mode thanks to a combination of PSSR AI Upscaling & Frame Generation. pic.twitter.com/UBQA7WJSWN
Despite not having an official announcement, the fans are adamant about playing the game on the superior Pro model. The enthusiasm is through the roof and some players are taking advantage of artificial intelligence and spreading fake screenshots to generate more hype.
These players fail to realize they are doing more harm than good. Regardless, the game will look stellar on any platform but fans will invest in the best experience possible.
There is no doubt that the game will look impressive on PC with max settings but for now, the PS5 Pro is the way to go. Sony is tight-lipped about the console but the spec sheets suggest otherwise.
Preference matters and there is no reason to panic. The game is still a few months away and will run on current-generation hardware without any problems.
Different fan bases are making a big deal out of nothing. Players should dial down the petty console wars.
Rockstar Games is working on sticking the landing for this project. The anticipation is off the charts and so is the pressure.
