A couple of interesting bosses were released on Genshin Impact 4.2, and they are considered local legends. Players can find these local legends in certain areas and the location isn’t limited to above ground as a couple of them are found underwater. Naturally, Travelers must use Xenochromatic creatures' abilities to beat the ocean creatures.
Players won’t receive that many rewards since each local legend gives an Achievement and some EXP. One of them, however, will give a special item that unlocks a hidden Achievement in Genshin Impact.
From the Weeping Willow of the Lake’s eastern Teleport Waypoint, glide down northeast towards a contaminated pond, which is one of the Foggy Forest Branches location in Genshin Impact. Move to the northern part of the pond to find the local legend, Liam, standing alone.
The local legend, Liam, uses a variety of AoE Elemental attacks, especially Pyro. Any of his hits are fatal to players, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that any character might die from two attacks. Choosing a healer or a shielder for this will make the fight much easier. Defeating him rewards players with the Liam Achievement.
Travelers can follow the dirt path east from the Weeping Willow of the Lake’s eastern Waypoint, or walk west from Liam’s location to reach Rocky Avildsen. The Genshin Impact boss is standing near a hut found along the dirt path.
Rocky Avildsen uses a lot of punching attacks and possesses some decent AoE attacks as well. He might overwhelm players with punching chain attacks, but that does open an opportunity to attack him. Additionally, the local legend will also jump high and land with a powerful slam that deals huge AoE damage. Beat him to receive the Rocky Avildsen Achievement.
Mageblade Corrouge can be found in the Roots of Erinnyes. The location is available once players complete The Wild Fairy Of Erinnyes World Quest in Genshin Impact. Mageblade Corrouge's main form of attack is creating these huge bubbles that burst upon contact, dealing massive damage. To defeat the local legend in Genshin Impact, borrow the abilities of one of the nearby Xenochromatic Ball Octopus, and use the charge attack to send the bubbles back to the boss. Doing so will allow Travelers to deal heavy damage without actually moving. The Mageblade Corrouge Achievement is rewarded at the end of the fight.
Mageblade Corrouge also rewards a Mysterious Xenochromatic Crystal each time players defeat it after a daily reset, which can be sold to Pitot at the Rusty Rudder for 20,000 Mora. Upon selling three crystals for 60,000 Mora, A World Yet to Be Disenchanted, Hidden Achievement is rewarded.
Fast-travel to Morte Region’s southern underwater Waypoint and swim northeast towards the ruins. Keep in mind that An Expected Plan and An Expected Lie Genshin Impact World Quests must be completed for the ruins to become available.
Proceed inside the ruins where the Server-Type Gev003 boss used to be to find the Deianeira of Snezhevna. It’s essential to use a healer while fighting the local legend, as she can inflict the Bond of Life status alongside her deadly attacks. Luckily, the boss’ stance is easily breakable, so attacking aggressively will help defeat Deianeira of Snezhevna to receive an Achievement with the same name.
Chassanion is located extremely close to Deianeira of Snezhevna’s. It’s possible to reach the local legend by swimming west towards the Sealed Ruined Tower from the eastern Waypoint, or simply head west from the ruins.
If players have drowned the Sealed Ruined Tower, the boss can now be found on the tower's lowest floor. Head to the lower floor and enter from the middle, then find the stairs down.
The process of defeating Chassanion is the same as Mageblade Corrouge. Take the Ball Octopus’ abilities and use them to aim at the boss’ bubbles to send them back, dealing heavy damage. Chassanion will occasionally release a burst of bubbles and players can also send them back using the Octopus’ ability. The Chassanion Achievement is rewarded upon defeating the boss.
