LEGO Fortnite: How to Find Every Brute & Get Brute Scale (How to Defeat Brute Boss)

In LEGO Fortnite, players have to survive against all kinds of environmental hazards and monstrous enemies. There are hostile creatures in the game, but none are as dangerous and intimidating as Brutes. These dinosaur-like creatures are twice the player’s size and are one of the most challenging enemies in LEGO Fortnite.

Brutes are the primary source of Brute Scales – an essential crafting material. Brute Scales are needed to upgrade the Crafting Bench and craft all sorts of powerful Charms and Totems. The only problem is that players often have a hard time finding Brutes in the vast worlds of LEGO Fortnite.

Where to Find Brutes

There are three different types of Brutes in LEGO Fortnite. Each of these variants can be found in a different biome. It’s difficult to pinpoint an exact spawn location, as all LEGO Fortnite worlds are procedurally generated.

Brutes

Standard Brutes are the most common and weakest Brute in LEGO Fortnite. They can be found roaming around the Grasslands and the Shore biomes. These Brutes usually stick to the open areas, such as the shoreline, but can also wander into forests. When killed, regular Brutes drop Brute Scales, a highly sought-after crafting material.

Sand Brutes

Sand Brutes can be found in the Dry Valley biome, usually hiding inside Lava Caves. They’re quite easy to spot because of their gray and orange color. However, players need to be careful in the desert, as the heat can damage their health. When killed, Sand Brutes drop a different kind of Brute Scales, called Sand Brute Scales.

Frost Brutes

As the name implies, Frost Brutes can be found in the icy cold Frostlands biome. They usually spawn in the mountains more compared to the meadows. Players should protect themselves from the cold while exploring the snow-covered mountains. When defeated, Frost Brutes drop a new type of Brute Scales, called Frost Brute Scales.

Turning on the Visualize Sound Effects in the Audio Settings can help players visually see monsters from a distance on their screen. This makes it easier to spot Brutes.

How to Defeat a Brute Boss

Brutes are extremely tough and dangerous creatures in LEGO Fortnite. They have a massive health pool and can deal significant damage to players. Brutes have four types of attacks:

To avoid damage, players can use a shield or move out of range. However, if they need to get Brute Scales, players will need to muster up courage and kill these monstrous creatures. The best way to defeat a Brute is by shooting arrows at it with a Recurve Crossbow. An Uncommon Crossbow is recommended, but a higher tier will make it easier to kill the Brute. Players should bring at least 40-50 arrows and foods that boost health and defense.

Players can ask a Villager to join them and give them weapons to assist in killing a Brute.
