Are there any plans to bring Save the World to mobile? Unfortunately, it seems highly unlikely. The development of Save the World has slowed down, and Epic Games doesn't seem to prioritize it as much as Battle Royale. This is evident in the differences between the game engines used for each mode. Fortnite's development began in 2011 on Unreal Engine 3, while Battle Royale was made in Unreal Engine 4. The Lego Fortnite game, on the other hand, was made in Unreal Engine 5. Porting a game back two generations often requires scrapping sections and starting over, which can be a daunting task for developers.
Save the World was never the main focus of Fortnite, and with a reduced development staff, it's even less likely that they will invest resources into bringing it to mobile. However, it's worth noting that Save the World is still accessible on current-gen consoles, which is a blessing in itself considering it was developed using Unreal Engine 3.
While it would be great to have Save the World available on mobile, the obstacles and priorities of Epic Games make it highly improbable. So, for now, you may have to settle for enjoying Battle Royale on your mobile device and taking occasional breaks from it to explore other games that are more readily available on mobile platforms. It's always good to have a variety of games to keep you entertained, and who knows, maybe in the future, Epic Games will surprise us with a Save the World mobile release. But until then, keep building, fighting, and enjoying the world of Fortnite on the platforms that are currently available.
