Some diabolical villains from the Dragon Ball franchise make their way to the Fortnite island to conquer and destroy. Yet, with other characters from previous Dragon Ball x Fortnite collabs, can Frieza and Cell take a Victory Royale, and destroy the Fortnite island in the process? That’s completely up to individual skill, as these skins won’t grant godlike powers, but they may provide some godlike courage to take on 99 other players.
The best Dragon Ball villains come to Fortnite, alongside such icons like Goku and Vegeta. Fans of the anime and manga are bound to find great joy in bringing more Dragon Ball villains into Fortnite, providing a plethora of awesome characters from multiple collabs. The first release of Frieza and Cell from Dragon Ball in Fortnite came on December 24, 7 PM ET.
Players will save 700 V-Bucks if they purchase this bundle, which will see them obtain both skins from the latest wave of Dragon Ball Z x Fortnite skins with Frieza and Cell. Sadly, this bundle will not include pickaxes and gliders, but it will include both skins, which will be highly sought after for Dragon Ball Z fans, especially when these iconic DBZ villains have styles to show their distinct history throughout the anime.
An evil emperor being conspiring to take over the universe.
Frieza is perhaps the most iconic Dragon Ball Z villain based on his looks alone. Frieza has a very distinct look, but as fans might know, these looks don’t always stick. Frieza has multiple forms throughout the anime, whether it’s a new season or a movie. If players are to purchase Frieza, they will be able to switch between 3 styles, the first (pictured above) is known as the First Form.
Skipping a couple of forms, Frieza receives his most iconic look from the series with his Fourth Form, showcasing the purple shell on his chest, shoulders, and head, as well as the notable white of his skin, providing an intimidating look to a violent villain.
Golden Frieza is the third and final style that players have access to. It’s great to see these multiple styles, as everyone has their favorite. It also makes sense, when one considers that the Saiyans like Vegeta and Goku can emote and change styles at will, whereas Frieza has his forms, and Golden Form, to make him one of Goku’s best villains.
Used by Frieza as he conquers planets across the universe.
Frieza always traveled in style during his First Form. Players can find Frieza’s Pod free of charge if they acquire the Frieza outfit in Fortnite. It’s an iconic egg-shaped vehicle that seems pretty comfy since Frieza spends plenty of time inside it. Now, it acts as a Back Bling, that players can wear, not sit in.
The most dangerous android of all of Dr. Gero’s creations.
The main antagonist of the Androids/Cell Saga, Cell is a dangerous villain worthy of the fear that audiences and characters alike will feel in his presence. Cell is a Bio-Android from an alternate timeline, and his desire to gain power perfectly fits within Fortnite, where only one player can be left standing in a solo Battle Royale experience. Cell comes with a Back Bling and 2 distinct styles, allowing players to express their favorite version of Cell. The first of two of these styles is the First Form, featured in the image above.
Cell’s Perform Form comes at the height of his abilities. Regarded as the most dangerous android of Dr. Gero’s creations for a reason, Cell is dedicated to destroying Goku and co., which is enhanced by his purpose of being the perfect warrior. Whilst the Perfect Form doesn’t give an actual advantage, players will at least feel more powerful.
The shell that Cell shed and left near the Time Machine.
When Cell was a mere Larva, he might not have had the power to take on Goku and his friends, but one should never forget humble beginnings. Cell’s Shell is an accurately sized Back Bling that shows this Larva shell, left behind when Cell emerged in his first form.
Players can save 1,200 V-Bucks with this bundle, which will see them claim the three cosmetic items that fit perfectly alongside both Frieza and Cell. Each of these items can be purchased individually, and players can find 1 glider and 2 pickaxes, with individual pricing and appearance found below.
Frieza’s spaceship in a miniature.
Whilst Frieza may be insulted by the idea of having to use a pickaxe in Fortnite, the rules are fair for every Looper. Frieza’s pickaxe is an interesting one, as it features a design reminiscent of his spaceship when fans were first introduced to him.
The spaceship that Frieza Force used to invade the Planet Namek.
If players do not want to wield Frieza’s Spaceship in battle, then they can certainly wield it as a glider, allowing them to ride on top of it, complete with a unique animation that fans of Dragon Ball Z might remember. It’s not the most flash glider, but it’s perfect for hardcore fans who can’t get a Nimbus Cloud.
The egg Cell hatched from.
Being a creation from Dr. Gero, Cell isn’t exactly what some would consider natural. As such, it makes sense that Cell can wield his eggshell as a pickaxe, allowing him to showcase the grotesque design of his birth, and hit people with it.
