The storm has always been an important mechanic in Fortnite. In this battle royale, the Storm Circle closes in as the match proceeds in order to bring the remaining players closer and closer to one another and see who gets the Victory Royale.
In the past, there have been several ways for players to get some insight on upcoming Storm Circles, as this is a useful advantage that many players enjoy having. Chapter 4 Season 4 introduced Forecast Towers to Fortnite, and even though they were removed for Season OG, they're back once again thanks to the release of Chapter 5 Season 1. These towers allow those who secure them to see future Storm Circles before they're revealed to the other players on the island. This guide will tell gamers everything they need to know about Fortnite's Forecast Towers.
Just like the Combat Cache and Loot Island, Forecast Towers won't be available from the get-go. Gamers can freely loot all the essentials they need to survive on the Fortnite island before they have to worry about rushing toward the Forecast Tower, as it only spawns about a minute before the second Storm Circle starts closing in.
Three Forecast Towers will appear in each match, and they can spawn at four specific locations. Once they start spawning, players can check their map to see where they've appeared. Here is where players can expect to find Forecast Towers in Fortnite:
All Forecast Towers are close to the railroad, so gamers riding the train will be able to pass by all of them.
Before heading towards the Forecast Tower, players must retrieve the access key so that they can gain access to all the data it contains. To do this, they will have to take down two Legion Heavy Grunts and the Legion Tactical Elite, the mini-boss that guards the tower.
Gamers should eliminate the two henchmen first, as they don't have that much health, and then they can focus on taking care of the boss. Once defeated, the Legion Tactical Elite will drop an Epic rarity Striker Assault Rifle and the Forecast Tower Access Card. Gamers have to take the access card to the Forecast Tower in order to successfully secure it and get access to the forecast data, allowing them to preview future Storm Circles until the end of the match.
