A ferocious sandstorm has swept over the Island, creating a new biome in the south known as the wasteland. The Wasteland Warriors have already staked their claim, moving as fast as their tricked-out cars. Their key locations include:

Redline Rig

Redline Rig is a Nitro refinery run by The Machinist, the Wasteland Warriors’ master mechanic. Nitro is a powerful substance that can make you feel irrepressibly strong, whether in a car or on foot.

Nitrodrome

Ringmaster Scarr, the master of chaos and destruction, presides over the Nitrodrome, a circus of car spectacle.

Brutal Beachhead

Brutal Beachhead serves as the base for the Wasteland Warriors, led by the formidable Megalo Don. Be cautious, as his rage surfaces quickly.

There are more areas to explore in the wasteland, including the transformed Snooty Steppes, now known as Sandy Steppes.

Go Nitro

Across the Island, you can find Nitro Splash or Nitro Barrels, both sourced from Redline Rig. Nitro Splash is a portable Nitro container that you can throw to infuse your car or yourself with Nitro. Nitro Barrels, when struck, will fly off and explode upon landing.

Nitro-Fied Perks

Nitro offers various temporary advantages:

Nitro-Fied Car:

• Increased driving speed
• Explosive ramming power
• Reduced fuel consumption
• Buffed attack mods

Nitro-Fied Player:

• Increased movement speed

Pack a Punch with Nitro Fists

Nitro Fists allow for a powerful 3x punch combo, uppercut, or aerial punch. Each charge recharges every eight seconds. Aerial punches to the ground create a meteoric impact on surrounding enemies.

Fortify Your Ride

Vehicle mods are back, with new additions:

• Machine Gun Turret (roof slot): A passenger can fire a machine gun.
• Grenade Launcher Turret (roof slot): Grenades explode upon impact.
• Spiked Bumper (front bumper slot): Increased damage on impact.
• Cow Catcher (front bumper slot): Boosts ramming power and adds defensive armor.

Transform Sports Cars and SUVs into your equipped vehicles. The Behemoth Bundle, featuring items from the new Wastelander Set, is available in the Shop. This bundle includes the Behemoth Car Body and various decals and wheels.

Lose the Battle Bus, Win the War Bus

Hijack a War Bus, rigged with two cannons and an EMP pulse horn, after being dropped from the Battle Bus. These monster vehicles hold multiple EMP pulses that recharge over time.

Create a Roadblock with a Boom Bolt

When in a jam, use the Boom Bolt, a moddable crossbow that shoots explosive bolts, perfect for causing traffic chaos.

Wrench Wretches

The Wasteland Warriors can be found in their lairs or in a convoy. Defeating them yields significant rewards.

• Exterminate The Machinist: Drops a Medallion that regenerates Shield over time and unlocks her car.
• Conquer Ringmaster Scarr: Drops a Medallion providing infinite ammo and a damage buff.
• Overwhelm Megalo Don: Drops a Medallion that grants infinite Nitro and unlocks his ride.

Medallions mark your location on the map, making you a target for other players.

Zap That Thirst with Nuka-Cola!

Restore Health and Shield with a cold bottle of Nuka-Cola.

Kind Cacti

Heal yourself and your vehicle by driving through or pickaxing a Slurp Cactus.

Old Weapons Aren’t a Waste

A variety of unvaulted and carried-over weapons are available, with balance changes to improve performance.

Mobile HUD Improvements

The mobile HUD has been improved for better visibility and fewer buttons.

Play as a Wastelander with the Wrecked Battle Pass

Unlock in-game rewards, including Wasteland Warriors’ outfits, by earning XP across various Fortnite modes. The Wrecked Battle Pass is available for 950 V-Bucks, offering up to 1,500 V-Bucks back through leveling up.
