It is an extremely extensive game that has a lot to offer. However, the game might be writing its own will and might be on the verge of committing seppuku, largely due to the same reason that makes it a unique and special game.

There is a high chance that the game marketed as Diablo 4’s killer might commit seppuku. This might happen largely due to the sheer scope and the learning curve of the game. It is not at all a beginner-friendly game and requires hours of game time to get used to it.

It offers a highly customizable experience, but it will sure be quite difficult from the get-go. Diablo 4 on the other hand, offers a balanced experience to even beginners who might not be topping the charts but will have a comfortable time starting out in the game.

The same is not the case with Path of Exile 2. Similar to its predecessor, it is not at all beginner-friendly due to its complex nature and has a huge learning curve that takes time to get accustomed to. This is largely due to the 12 different classes of warriors that you can choose from, each with its own unique, customizable skill tree. Keep in mind that this accounts just for a small portion of what this game has to offer.

One of the biggest reasons it is being considered as Diablo 4’s killer is due to its replayability. Since the game is so vast, once you get a hang of it, it is extremely difficult to get bored of it. It will always offer you a unique experience each time you hop into its world.

Diablo 4 is widely celebrated with a huge community of players who appreciate and enjoy the game. Even this game is not one of the easiest to understand, and it takes some time getting used to.

It still creates a beginner-friendly environment, which enables new players to join the game. Early adopters sure have an upper hand over the game due to the number of hours they have put into the game, much like any game, but it is still not as daunting for new players as is the case in Path of Exile.

The criticism around the scope of the game does not mean that it is a bad game. It is an amazing game with a marvelous gameplay design that has a lot to offer, and if you are someone who is not overwhelmed by huge learning curves, then you can go ahead and give it a try yourself.
