After yesterday’s major Counter-Strike 2 update that introduced a ton of new changes to the game, Valve has shipped another minor update to the competitive shooter, aiming to fix some of the issues that were put forward by the CS2 community following the last patch.
While the new CS2 update doesn’t introduce any new content to the game, it includes a bunch of crucial hotfixes alongside a significant change to the Inferno B-site.
An unintended change in the December 19th CS2 update led to the removal of the rare inspect animation for the Deagle. The community quickly noticed this and urged Valve to address it on via posts on various social media platforms. Less than a day later, the rare inspect animation for the Deagle has been restored.
Alongside the Deagle animation, the new CS2 update also fixes the rarity of the rare AK-47 inspect animation.
The change to the Inferno B-site is subtle, but it will certainly impact how players hold the bombsite moving forward. The clipping in the B-site Scaffolding has been adjusted, and players can no longer boost on top of the box to hold down the site.
Here are the detailed patch notes of the new December 20 CS2 update, as confirmed by Valve:
