Respawn Entertainment has announced that Apex Legends Season 20 is bringing the much-requested 120Hz support for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. What’s more, those of you playing on Sony’s console will be able to use the DualSense’s haptic feedback to heighten your experience.
Apex Legends is celebrating its fifth anniversary this week, and Season 20 of the battle royale title will be a wealth of new content to the table. For now, here’s the official blurb on 120Hz support:
Enable Performance Mode on current-gen consoles for 120Hz output to displays that support it! This new Video Settings option adjusts graphical settings, leveraging recent improvements in the Apex rendering engine to target up to 120 FPS gameplay.

Beyond that, Apex Legends will add the Legend Upgrade system, which is an in-match progression system designed to deepen your experience by allowing you to tailor your Legend to your individual playstyle. Furthermore, obtaining EVO will level-up your Legend over the course of the game, enhancing your armour tier and unlocking unique upgrade selections at Levels 2 and 3.
Elsewhere, Body Shields are no longer classed as a loot item so they won’t be scoop up from the ground during Battle Royale. Instead, Legends will have an inherent Legend Armour that increases capacity as the level-up.
