Apex Legends announced a brand-new limited-time event, and it's a massive one. The popular battle royale title has hit the mark with many of its events, like Post Malone's Three Strikes, which many players want as a permanent game mode.
Apex Legends recently expanded on its lore with a four-part series titled "Kill Code." The story follows the Legends as they try to destroy Kaleb Cross' head to stop Duardo Silva from creating deadly Revenant simulacrum bots. This will also help Revenant to take control of his fate and achieve the death that he wanted for himself. "Kill Code" ended with Revenant murdering Duardo, and unleashing all the bots as the Legends try to escape.
The "Kill Code" cinematics were apparently a build-up for Apex Legends' Revenant Uprising LTM (limited-time mode), a 30v30 match launching on December 5. In this game mode, 30 players will start as members of the Revenant Army led by a Red-Eyed Revenant, while the other 30 will be grouped into 10 squads of three to face the swarm of Revenants. When a squad is wiped out, they will join the Revenant Army to kill the rest of the lobby. The goal here is to kill the entire Revenant Army and avoid getting killed by the terrifying assassin bots.
Apart from the LTM, Apex Legends will also release a Prestige Loba Skin, new Legendary Skins, and weekly rewards as part of the Uprising Collection Event. Many gamers online expressed their excitement for the upcoming event, which will run until January 2, 2024, saying they can't wait to play the Revenant Uprising LTM and grind for the Prestige Loba Skin. One netizen also commended Apex Legends for releasing outstanding LTMs recently.
The Revenant Uprising LTM is expected to be a chaotic experience because of its sheer scale. Apex Legends players can expect entertaining clips coming out of this game mode, and it could even become the next beloved event after Three Strikes.
Since coming out in 2019, Apex Legends has done a great job at incorporating lore cinematics into its battle royale gameplay. Its "Stories From the Outlands" series gives different perspectives on the Legends' lives before they joined the Apex Games. This was also an avenue to tease new maps, like Broken Moon, weapons, limited-time events, and even character reworks. This format has worked so well for Apex Legends, and its dedicated playerbase has also become invested in the characters' storylines.
