820 Days Later and One of Fortnite’s Best Skins Makes a Well-Received and Shocking Return

An unlikely hero has made a surprising return to the Fortnite item shop. Donning a stunning red-and-yellow suit and antennas that detect nearby enemies, El Chapulín Colorado is back to cause havoc on the battlefield.

Many players who opened the item shop today were positively surprised to see the hero from the Mexican sitcom prominently showcased after a two-year hiatus.

Fortnite Sees the Return of a Beloved Mexican Hero

The Mexican hero, El Chapulín Colorado, first set foot in Fortnite as a Rare outfit back in 2021, and was last seen more than 800 days ago. Now, players can purchase the “The Red Grasshopper” once again.

The community welcomes the return of the clumsy hero, which many celebrate as a win for Latin American players.

Players from Mexico and those who have known the sitcom for a long time are happy to be able to step onto the battlefield with El Chapulín Colorado himself once again.

Overall, the reception has been incredibly positive, with many players calling the hero the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time).

While it is very likely that nobody would have expected the return of this timid hero after such a long time, players see it as a win and clearly a reason to celebrate.

Players can purchase the Rare outfit, including his back bling, for 1,200 V-Bucks. Alternatively, a number of male and female characters cosplaying the Mexican hero can be purchased for 800 V-Bucks each.

Those who don’t want to miss out this time around need to be fast, as the skins will only be available until August 6.

A Second Chance for Players to Grab Skins

After the Rare El Chapulín Colorado outfit was introduced back in 2021, players had the chance to grab it during several seasons, from Chapter 2: Season 8 through Chapter 3: Season 2.

Some players are upset that their Rare outfit is now easily available for everyone to have.

Others are more positive and welcoming of the idea of more Rare Fortnite skins making a return to the game.

This is not the first skin from way back when to reappear, as Epic Games seems to be playing with the idea of reintroducing more old outfits.

As part of the current Chapter 5: Season 3, Fortnite brought back Deadpool, which could be the start of Epic re-releasing previously locked Fortnite skins. Players who didn’t get a chance the first time around get another opportunity to don some unique and popular skins in this way.

Fortnite, after all, is known for its long list of impressive crossovers, so it remains to be seen which of these will come back and what new skins will make their way into the Battle Royale in the future.

What do you think about the surprising return of this Fortnite skin? Will you be donning the red-and-yellow suit and antenna? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
