Busan Tips and Strategies
Utilize Downtown's Rooftops
Downtown features plenty of tall buildings with flat rooftops, which sniping Heroes like Widowmaker and Ashe can reach with their mobility skills. Take full advantage of these vantage points by using them to snipe down enemies inside the control point and along the map's narrow streets.
Take Advantage of Sanctuary's Sightlines
Sanctuary is a relatively flat map with ample natural cover and long sightlines toward the control point, making it an excellent map for sniping and flanking. Try pairing Heroes such as Widowmaker and Soldier: 76 together to make the most of Sanctuary's unique terrain.
Play Around MEKA Base's Control Point Barriers
MEKA Base's control point features three barriers that raise and lower on a timer, providing and removing cover around the area. Take advantage of this unique map characteristic by poking at enemy teams from afar while the walls are lowered and forcing close-range engagements on the point when the barriers are raised.

Team Explanation
This team works well on all three points in Busan, taking advantage of the map's high vantage points, flanking routes, and narrow pathways.
Reinhardt efficiently protects his team along Busan's sightlines and tight corridors with Barrier Field and deals heavy damage up close with Rocket Hammer. The map's narrow choke points also let Reinhardt land multihit Fire Strikes and lethal Charges more often. When fighting around control points, Earthshatter can disrupt entire enemy teams and sets them up for other abilities.
Genji swiftly maneuvers around Busan with Cyber-Agility and Swift Strike, letting him quickly eliminate key enemy targets from multiple angles. His Deflect is also a great tool for safely crossing sniper sightlines and returning enemy fire. When engaging in team fights around the control point, Dragonblade and Swift Strike resets let him quickly tear through multiple enemies.
Sojourn can efficiently deal with close-range foes and long-range snipers with her Railgun, especially when enhanced by Overclock. Her Power Slide's high jump also allows her to reach Busan's numerous vantage points and flanking routes. To control space and deal with foes inside the control point, Sojourn's Disruptor Shot provides her with heavy area-based damage that also snares foes.
Ana takes advantage of Busan's ample cover and long sightlines to support her team from afar with Biotic Rifle, especially in Sanctuary and Downtown. Her Sleep Dart and Biotic Grenade are also excellent tools for disabling crucial enemy targets and dealing with clumped-up groups of foes. Nano Boost also pairs well with Genji and Sojourn, providing them with increased damage output and survivability.
Lúcio improves his team's mobility with Speed Boost and Amp It Up, letting them secure Busan's control points before the enemy team. His Soundwave also excels at breaking enemy positioning, pushing back advancing foes, and singling out crucial targets. When engaging in team fights, his Healing Boost and Sound Barrier offer potent area-based healing and survivability.

Alternative Tanks
D.Va: D.Va offers great offensive and defensive utility on Busan. Her Fusion Cannons and Micro Missiles easily burst down foes up close, especially when combined with her Boosters. Her Defense Matrix also efficiently covers her team from projectiles along the map's tight choke points and long pathways. Self Destruct is also potent for creating space and dealing with foes inside choke points and control points.
Orisa: Orisa is a well-rounded alternative Tank for Busan. Her Fortify and Javelin Spin let her effectively soak up damage and block enemy projectiles, making her incredibly hard to take down. Her Energy Javelin is also great for stunning and singling out key enemy targets. Her Terra Surge also excels at taking down clumped-up foes around the map's choke points and control points.
Sigma: Like Reinhardt, Sigma offers great defensive capability in Busan with his mobile Experimental Barrier and projectile-absorbing Kinetic Grasp. Accretion and Gravitic Flux are also excellent crowd control abilities when used in tight corridors and control points, stunning key enemy targets with the former and disrupting whole groups of enemies with the latter.
Zarya: Zarya provides excellent damage mitigation with her Barriers, which also empowers her Particle Cannon and lets her take down groups of foes with ease. Graviton Surge is a potent disruptive ultimate when used in Busan's control points and choke points, especially when combined with her allies' other ultimates.
Alternative Damage
Ashe: Ashe is a great midrange marksman for Busan, capable of inflicting heavy burst damage from its vantage points and its tight choke points with Viper headshots and Dynamite explosions. B.O.B. is also an excellent ultimate for contesting payloads while providing her team with additional damage and crowd control.
Pharah: When fighting in Busan's Downtown and Sanctuary, Pharah is a potent alternative pick if the enemy team lacks heavy hitscan and crowd control. These parts of the map have a high skybox, letting Pharah bombard her foes from multiple angles with Rocket Launcher and Barrage. Concussive Blast also lets her shove groups of enemies into the environmental hazard next to Downtown's control point.
Soldier: 76: Soldier: 76 is a well-rounded alternative frontline Damage Hero in Busan, sporting potent hitscan with Heavy Pulse Rifle and excellent burst damage with Helix Rockets. He can also quickly reposition and maneuver around the map with Sprint, letting him take advantage of the map's numerous flanking routes and sightlines to efficiently attack from multiple angles and set up devastating Tactical Visor plays.
Sombra: Sombra is a potent alternative flanking hero on Busan. She can move through sightlines unseen with Stealth and Translocator, quickly reaching key enemy targets and dispatching and disrupting them with Hack. Her EMP is also great for initiating team fights along the map's cramped rooms and narrow pathways, dealing heavy percentage-based damage and inflicting Hack on all nearby foes.
Widowmaker: Widowmaker is an excellent long-range marksman, especially in Busan's Downtown and MEKA Base. She takes full advantage of the maps' numerous vantage points and sightlines to land lethal headshots on crucial targets. Her Infra-Sight also provides vital information about enemy pathing and positioning along Busan's flanking routes and obstructive cover.
Alternative Supports
Baptiste: Baptiste offers potent area-based healing along Ilios' narrow terrain with Biotic Launcher and Regenerative Burst while fortifying his team's positioning with Immortality Field and Amplification Matrix. He can also access Busan's vantage points with Exo Boost, providing him with better angles for healing allies and shooting foes.
Brigitte: Brigitte provides excellent frontline support with Inspire and Rocket Flail while covering her team from flankers with Whip Shot and Barrier Shield. Her Rally is also an excellent tool for attacking and defending the map's control points, letting Brigitte move around faster while providing temporary health to her allies.
Mercy: Mercy pairs well with Busan's ample cover and high verticality, letting her become a solid alternative Support with Guardian Angel and Caduceus Staff. She is incredibly potent when paired with Heroes she can focus her healing and damage boosts toward, such as Pharah and Sojourn. Her Resurrect also has the potential to turn around team fights on the control point.
