Toshiba shows off updated HDDs

Today, Toshiba Electronics Europe announced updated designs for its Canvio Flex and Canvio Gaming 2.5-inch portable hard drives (HDDs). These compact and functional devices offer USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity and come in storage capacities of 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. Designed to meet the demands of today’s digital lifestyles, the Canvio Flex features a warm silver finish and is equipped with USB Type-C and Type-A cables. This enables seamless connections with Android and iOS devices, Macs, Windows PCs, and other compatible systems without the need for reformatting. Its compact and lightweight design makes it a convenient option for securely backing up and accessing files across devices, catering to a wide range of users.

The Canvio Gaming, tailored for gamers requiring additional storage, offers a sleek dark grey metallic finish with a blue LED that complements modern gaming consoles. It also includes an always-on mode to reduce response times and improve gameplay continuity. The updated Toshiba Canvio Flex and Canvio Gaming hard drives are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2025.
