Severance team’s marketing for Season 2 impressed fans

The cast of Severance took about two and a half hours performing as their characters amid the busy space of Grand Central Station, amusing fans and bystanders alike. This unique yet old-fashioned way of promoting their show proves that creativity is not yet dead in Hollywood.

Several people took out their phones and recorded the cast as they went about their performance, pretending they were working in their respective office and simply ignoring the crowd of people watching them.

The first season of Severance debuted in 2022, and there was indeed a long delay between the first installment and the sequel. Apart from the strikes that affected several productions in Hollywood, the creative process also faced a lot of obstacles.

Ben Stiller, director and producer of the series, revealed via The New York Times that they went through a lot of patches, but with everyone’s cooperation, they managed to make Season 2 a reality. “I think it all came out of everybody wanting something to be as good as it could be,” he stated.

The show has an incredibly intriguing premise that hooked the audience from the start. For those who aren’t familiar, it follows a group of workers agreeing to the “severance program” where personal memories are separated from work memories, thus staying at home gives no recollection of work stuff and vice versa.

The psychological thriller series is highly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, with a current score of 95% rating, proving its ingenious storyline.

Severance Season 2 arrives on Apple TV+ this January 17.
