After more than four years of leaving their mark on the League of Legends (LoL) esports scene, global sports franchise Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is parting ways with Talon Esports. The two organisations have mutually decided to end their partnership in the LoL space, citing evolving priorities and strategies. However, they’re keeping the door open for future collaborations—if the stars align.
This split concludes a partnership that brought multiple domestic championships to the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) and even a top-four finish at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational. While this marks the end of PSG’s presence in LoL, the two organisations will remain teammates in Rainbow Six Siege.
For Talon Esports fans worried about what’s next, breathe easy: the team isn’t going anywhere. Talon confirmed on X that they’re locked and loaded for the upcoming LCP season, kicking off on 17 January.

The team has assembled a fresh roster to uphold its legacy, despite losing mid-lane legend Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang to retirement during the offseason. Stepping into his shoes is Chu “FoFo” Chun-Lan, a seasoned mid-laner from the Chinese LPL. Joining him is the iconic Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan, Maple’s former Flash Wolves teammate, promising to reignite some old-school synergy.
So, while PSG says au revoir to LoL, Talon is far from stepping off the Rift. The new LCP season awaits, and the squad seems ready to make its mark once again.
