The full model for Chiori has made the rounds in the Genshin Impact community, confirming not only her Geo Vision but also whether she counts as a Fontaine or Inazuma character. While Navia and Chevreuse are the new Genshin Impact characters coming in Version 4.3, the update will also feature the first appearance of Chiori, an accomplished fashion designer from Inazuma currently living in the Court of Fontaine. The first mention of Chiori was in Kirara's voice lines, and she is also responsible for designing the outfits of Lyney, Lynette, and Navia.
Though the banner order leaks for Genshin Impact claim that Chiori will only make her playable debut in Version 4.5, the Flagship Event for Roses and Muskets will seemingly have Chiori as one of the main characters, alongside Ayaka, Ayato, Yoimiya, Chevreuse, and Furina. The arrival of the Kamisato siblings (and Yoimiya) to Fontaine promises an Inazuman narrative for Version 4.3, as players only briefly checked in with the nation's characters during Version 3.7.
According to the model leaked by Mero and shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, Chiori can be counted as part of the Inazuma cast. Though she is a resident of Fontaine, it would appear that her Geo Vision is of Inazuman make. Many Genshin Impact players were wondering if she was a "reverse Thoma," where she obtained her Vision after leaving Inazuma, but that would appear to not be the case. Though her quality is still in the realm of speculation, credible leaks claim that Chiori will likely be a 5-Star Geo Sword character, the first since Albedo in Version 1.2.
Players have hoped for a change to the Geo element in Genshin Impact ever since Dendro made its debut in Sumeru, and while Navia promises an alternative way to build Geo teams due to her reliance on Crystallize, it does not fundamentally address the lack of depth that Geo has when compared to other elements such as Electro. It's too early to speculate on Chiori's ability kit, but some players are hoping that she will take the role of a Geo support or healer, as Noelle is currently the only character who fills that niche.
Though there is still time to save up on Primogems for those who like Chiori's visual design, the Event Banners for Version 4.3 will be tough to skip. Between Navia's debut in Genshin Impact, as well as the rerun of Ayaka and the Raiden Shogun, there is plenty of value to be had in summoning one of the aforementioned characters. Players can expect to see Chiori in a matter of weeks, as Version 4.3 launches on December 20, 2023, and its Flagship Event should soon follow.
