Path of Exile 2 early access is just a few steps away. After facing multiple delays, finally, the game is going to enter early access on December 6, 2024. Therefore, this December is going to be more exciting for RPG fans, especially those who have experienced the base game, released in 2013.
In role-playing games, character classes play a massive role in completing the story smoothly. Selecting a powerful class is mandatory to overcome challenging bosses and other obstacles. After the Path of Exile 2’s Ascendancy Class stats came to light, it looks like Grinding Gear Games has thrown a tough challenge to one of the biggest releases of 2023, Diablo 4.
Since its release, Diablo 4 has gained massive popularity among players across the world, and that’s mostly because of its gameplay and powerful character classes with unique Specializations.
Currently, it has six classes, and all of them have some unique Specializations, but the problem is these abilities are kind of weird and hard to understand. Therefore, players often face difficulties in figuring out the best situation to use specific class abilities.
This is where Grinding Gear Games has nailed it with its upcoming action role-playing game. Like PoE 1, the sequel will also bring classes with Ascension. While the full version will have twelve classes with three ascensions each, in early access, players will get to see six character classes with two ascensions each.
PoE 2 has drawn comparisons to Diablo 4 since its announcement. The more Blizzard is messing things up with the game, the more players are considering the upcoming Grinding Gear Game’s RPG to beat it easily. This comparison only gets fueled after a detailed description image for all the Path of Exile 2 ascensions is shared on Reddit.

In the post, all the available ascensions are explained in detail, and giving them a closer look will reveal they are pretty easy to understand as well.
The game is currently preparing to enter early access, and already things are so well described that players are hoping to get a more detailed explanation of the ascensions once the entire game is released globally.
Path of Exile 2 is a free-to-play game; therefore, the craze about this game is already high, but the gameplay won’t be a piece of cake for everyone. Even if you have played the 2013 prequel, this game will still be going to give you a hard time playing it, as the challenge level is increased in the sequel.
The developer team was determined to make the game an improved experience with some engaging fights, but ultimately they ended up making the game more difficult. Recently, the game director of this action RPG series, Jonathan Rogers, shared this during an interview, where he mentioned,
We’re sitting out to make the combat good, and, for me at least, good combat involves some level of challenge, so that’s kind of what you end up with.
Therefore, players must be careful before diving into the game because a lot of enemies will deal tons of damage to players throughout the gameplay. Sometimes, the boss fight arenas will be short, and the enemy will launch deadly attacks to take players down. Learning enemy moves will be the only way to dodge the attacks and survive.
Additionally, the upcoming game has adjusted the insane damage numbers that Diablo 4 introduced. Grinding Gear Games has tried to make it balanced with a moderate power-scaling system.
Path of Exile 2 is going to be exciting, but players must keep one thing in mind: the game will be free-to-play upon the official launch of the full version. For early access, they must purchase any of the Path of Exile 2 Supporters Packs starting from $30.
