The new season of Overwatch 2 has introduced new crosshair customization options that allow players to make Heart Crosshairs. You can adjust the opacity and size to your preference in addition to other settings, and you can apply this to all or just some of the game's heroes. Along with this, Overwatch 2 Season 9: Champions will be completely overhauling competitive gameplay which features a rank reset, new ways to track progress in each ranked game and the opportunity to earn Jade weapons. The new system will also feature a new rank; Champion. Here is how you can get a Heart crosshair in Overwatch 2.
Here are the steps to getting a Heart crosshair in Overwatch 2:
Launch Overwatch 2 from Battle.net.
Press the "ESC Menu" button and click on "Options".
Select the "Controls" tab and navigate to the "Reticle" section.
Click on the "Advanced" section and change the "Dot Type" to "Heart" to get a heart crosshair in Overwatch 2.
You can also change a number of settings in this menu including outline color, thickness, size, opacity and color for every hero in the game or just specific ones. Changes are applied to all heroes in the game, so if you only want a heart-shaped crosshair for some heroes, you will need to select the hero by switching between them using the ‘Change Hero’ option.
Along with ranked changes, the new season’s battle pass is based on Eldritch Horror with a New Cosmic Crisis and a Mythic Ancient Caller Moira skin. Overwatch 2 Season 9: Champions launched on 13th February 2024. The new season also features themed skins for Torbjorn, Bastion, Winston, Sigma, Mei, Widowmaker and Illari. New Hero Mastery course Gauntlet is also now available to play. The tower defense gameplay shows heroes taking on hordes of enemy robots.
Overwatch 2 also teased a collaboration with Cowboy Bebop, a popular 1998 anime series. The most recent season of Overwatch 2's trailer hinted at the Overwatch x Cowboy Bebop crossover, as well as new features like a competitive overhaul, a new rank, a new hero mastery course, and more. The final moments of the Season 9: Champions trailer included a low view of what appeared to be a Cassidy skin based on Cowboy Bebop star Spike Spiegel and a greyscale image of Route 66, hinting at the crossover.
