Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Deluxe Edition accidentally sent two copies of the game, Larian refuses to take it back

Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition of Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox are currently receiving two copies of the game - a physical disc and a digital redemption code. The redemption code was supposed to allow players to unlock the Digital Deluxe DLC, but now it has become a full version of the game.

However, Larian does not plan to take back the extra copy. Instead, they let Xbox players keep two copies of the game, and will also send new redemption codes for the Digital Deluxe DLC, which will be sent to players' mailboxes in the next few days.

Larian released a statement regarding the Baldur's Gate 3 Digital Deluxe Edition:

"We're delighted that many of you have now received your physical Deluxe Edition of Baldur's Gate 3, but some of you may have noticed that your Xbox X/S Deluxe Edition DLC code incorrectly granted access to the full game due to an issue with the supply chain for digital coes outside of our control.

If you have already redeemed your Digital Deluxe DLC code prior to this message, you will be able to keep the digital version of the game you already had access to, and we will be sending a new Digital Deluxe DLC code with the correct content to all Xbox Series X/S Deluxe owners. We apologize for the delay.”

This announcement made many players very happy, and some players are now giving their redemption codes to friends and family so that more people can play Baldur's Gate 3. (Source: The Gamer)
