Remedy Entertainment has revealed in its latest earnings report that the studio has recouped ‘most’ of the development and marketing costs for Alan Wake 2.
The survival horror title launched back in October 2023 and recently celebrated its first anniversary with a new DLC expansion, The Lake House, and a free update that included some additional features such as enhanced DualSense support.
At the end of the quarter, Alan Wake 2 had recouped most of its development and marketing expenses. After the end of the quarter, the second expansion of Alan Wake 2, The Lake House, was released on October 22 alongside the Physical Deluxe Edition of the game.

Alan Wake 2 is the follow-up to the cult action-horror title from 2010, which launched for Xbox 360 and later PC. The game was remastered for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One back in 2021. Remedy had been wanting to make Alan Wake 2 for year; it had a prototype of the game running at some point in the early 2010s, but instead decided to move forward with new IP, which turned into Quantum Break.
