Taskmaster |
Occasionally, if you have crew trained in a certain ship system, that system will automatically repair itself to full health whenever it is damaged below 50%. However, all crew cost twice as much to hire. |
---|
If you find yourself in constant battles against enemy ships, consider taking the Taskmaster to give crew members the ability to automatically repair ship systems when at half health.
This comes with the negative effect of doubling hiring costs for new crew members, but Credits shouldn't be a problem later in the game.
When hiring crew members, it's possible to persuade them to lower their rates. This should at the very least help save some Credits.

If you are on the fence about taking Taskmaster and you're only worried about your ship sustaining heavy damage, you can always Grav Jump away to safety. This should free up another slot for another Trait that suits your play style.
You can remove the Taskmaster Trait by talking to Keeper Aquilus at the Sanctum Universum, New Atlantis. When talking to him, make sure to choose answers that are related to the Taskmaster trait. Then, choose the dialogue option that removes the trait once it shows up.
You can also have Andy Singh at the House of the Enlightened in The Well remove the trait for you.
Taskmaster has no incompatible traits, so it can be used in combination with any other trait.
