The Dev Room in Bethesda games often contain items and objects for testing the game.
However, Starfield's Dev Room does not contain any items or objects worth looking into.

This container seemingly does not serve a purpose in the current state of the dev room. This may be a prop left out when testing for object and/or player collisions.
The purpose of this object is rather clear. It is used to test multiple particles that are rendered in the game. The partciles able to be seen are different bullet impacts, a continuous flame, and a small shockwave impact.
