How to Leave the Dev Room

Use the coc Console Command and a Target Location

Starfield - Exit Dev Room Console Command
Accessing the Dev Room disables the ability to fast travel and load previous saves. This makes leaving the Dev Room impossible to escape with normal means.

Entering coc [location] teleports you to that location as coc qasmoke teleported you to the Dev Room. The command coc CityNewAtlantisLodgeInt will teleport you back to The Lodge.

What is in the Dev Room

Nothing of Interest

Starfield - Dev Room

The Dev Room in Bethesda games often contain items and objects for testing the game.

However, Starfield's Dev Room does not contain any items or objects worth looking into.

Here are things you can find in Starfield's Dev Room:

Large Chest with Miscellaneous Items

Starfield - Dev Room Chest
Previous Bethesda Titles such as Fallout 4 had a Dev Room that contain most, if not all, the items in the game for different testing options. In comparison, Starfield's Dev Room contains a single chest that has the following items inside:

  • .43 ultramag bullets
  • 7.77mm caseless bullets
  • Frag Grenades
  • A Regulator Pistol
  • An Eon Pistol

Padded Container

Starfield Dev Room Container
This container seemingly does not serve a purpose in the current state of the dev room. This may be a prop left out when testing for object and/or player collisions.

Particle Tester

Starfield - Dev Room Particle Tester
The purpose of this object is rather clear. It is used to test multiple particles that are rendered in the game. The partciles able to be seen are different bullet impacts, a continuous flame, and a small shockwave impact.
