One cause of being unable to access a guild's server was because of a bug that prevented the world from loading properly if a guild has about 7000 Pals. This has been fixed in the Version 0.1.4.1 update released on February 7.
If you have downloaded this update and are still having trouble accessing a server or your multiplayer save file, then try out the steps below.

• Singleplayer Save (your/client-side save) ...01.sav • Member Saves (server-side): Number Sequence or non-...o1.sav Save file names have been suggested to be based on your SteamID, so they do not change. To identify your .sav name, you can try logging into another dedicated server and have the admin search through their Players folder saves to help identify what old (corrupted) save needs to be deleted. |
1 | Have the server host follow these steps. Backup player saves by copying the folders located in the following destination: AppData > Local > Pal > Saved > SaveGames > (number sequence, there may be more 1 folder depending on how many characters/worlds you made) > Players > (numbers).sav You may be able to identify created worlds by remembering the time you created the world and sorting in Windows explorer with Date modified in the SaveGames folder. |

2 | After copying all player saves, delete all .sav files within the Players folder. |
3 | Have the affected players login to the server and create a new character. |
4 | Have the server host check and compare current and backup .sav IDs of players from their Players folder, identify the corrupted files, and delete them. Again, you may be able to identify newly made saves through the Date modified sorting. This is in case to prevent unaffected players from losing progress. |
5 | Once done with step 4, drop back in any existing backed up .sav files. |
Once these steps have been accomplished, your members should now be able to access and join the dedicated server.
However, affected members will have to regain all of their lost progress. Until an official update to the game has been made to resolve this issue, it is best that you and your guild help each other to reclaim their lost progress.
