Sort your Inventory to Refresh Expiration

Sorting your inventory refreshses all the expiration time for all the items in your inventory. This also works for food items in other containers such as chests.

The sort button can be found at the top right corner of the inventory.

Quick-Move Food Items to Other Containers to Refresh Expiration

Using the quick-move option to move food items from your inventory to a chest and vice versa also refreshes the time of expiration. Dragging food items to move them does not refresh the time of expiration.

Quick-Move items from you inventory or storage by pressing the Right Mouse button.

This method is less convinient as you would need to have a storage chest nearby to refresh items. It will be more efficient to just carry a big stack of food items in your inventory or Feed Bag as you explore and refresh them when needed.

Preserve Items in the Cooler

Food is normally preserved in the Cooler by having a Pal with the Cooling Work Suitability. Food stored in your storage will have around last for around 10x longer before expiring.

Decreases in Quantity of the Stack by One

Food Items that expire decreases the quantity of the whole stack by one. You don't have to worry about a whole stack of your Red Berries disappearing after exiring.
