In regular gameplay, every Day and Night Cycle will each last 32 minutes totalling to over an hour of gameplay to pass a single day in Palpagos Island.
If you are hosting your own server or playing Single Payer, you can extend both night and day times up to 5 times their usual length. This means on certain custom servers, you could have nights that last longer, making it a bit more difficult.
During nighttime, the temperature will drop and your character will take continuous damage if they are not near a fire or are wearing armor or clothes. Fire-type Pals also count as being near a Fire so you can make use of Foxparks for this.
Since its night, the surroundings will become dark and difficult to navigate, this can be easily fixed by walking around with certain Pals or crafting a Lamp.
Certain pals like Daedream and Lovander will only spawn at night. Make sure you're prepared for exploring as it is very dangerous when there's limited visibility and wild Pals are attacking you.
If they cannot be caught at night, these pals are most likely to be asleep during night. This means that these pals are not working at your base at night. There is a plus side to this as sleeping pals are easer to catch.
