Behind a Stonesword Key door in Black Knife Catacombs in Liurnia of the Lakes.
It's the first door to the left once you descend the stairs on the left path from the boss door.
Black Knife Catacombs Location and What to Do
Rosus' Axe mainly scales with Strength and Intelligence with Strength as the main attribute with the most stat scaling bonus to physical attack. The Starscourge Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising this stat.
The Magic damage of the weapon scales with the Intelligence attribute and can be increased with the Stargazer Heirloom by raising your Intelligence.
Rosus' Axe deals additional Magic damage with its physical attacks and is effective against enemies or bosses with low resistance against Magic. The normal attack moveset of the weapon consists of fast horizontal slashes and the strong attacks can be chained together. The first attack is a crushing overhead slash and the second is an upward slice.
This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Rosus' Summons as its default weapon skill. When activated it raises the weapon above the user's before swinging it down to attack, three skeletons are summoned and will attack in tandem before disappearing.
It is effective at staggering low Poise enemies and if you can hit a shielded enemy with all four attacks, it is almost guaranteed to break their guard. The initial attack of the skill is a bit slow and will leave you open to attacks. The skeletons will still be able to attack as long as you're able to summon them before being interrupted.
