Trophies and Achievements List

All Minor Ending Variations

There are 4 Minor Variations for the Elden Lord ending and two minor variations for the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending. However, unlike the variations for the Elden Lord endings, the main ending of the Lord of the Frenzied Flame variation will make the same scene play out but with the second version showing a short cutscene depending on the actions you took before doing this ending.

Elden Lord Ending Variations

Elden Lord Branches
Age of Fracture Finish the story as normal
Age of Duskborn Complete Fia's questline and obtain the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince
Blessing of Despair Complete the Dung Eater's questline and obtain the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse
Age of Order Complete Corhyn's questline and obtain the Mending Rune of Perfect Order

The Elden Lord ending branches further and plays differently depending on the Mending Rune that you use after beating the final boss. You will still get the Elden Lord trophy/achievement regardless of which of the four variations you wish to see.

Lord of Frenzied Flame Variations

Lord of Frenzied Flame Branches
Prevent Melina's sacrifice Obtain the Frenzied Flame before Melina's sacrifice
Witness Melina's sacrifice Obtain the Frenzied Flame after Melina's sacrifice

The Lord of Frenzied Flame ending have a second minor variation, but the same scene will play regardless of when you inherit the Frenzied Flame.

If you got the Frenzied Flame before the events at the Forge of the Giants however, you will prevent Melina from sacrificing herself and an extra scene will play after the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending.

What is the Best or True Elden Ring Ending?

There is no Best or True Ending

While there are multiple endings in the game, all endings do not necessarily lead to a best or true ending as each ending heavily favors the belief of certain NPCs or characters in the game. Going for the Elden Lord ending allows you to shape the world depending on the ideals of the character related to the ending you take.

Age of Fracture is a Neutral Ending

Due to each character in the game having their agendas and goals, going for the Age of Fracture and being the Elden Lord with no other influences is the most neutral ending among all the choices. The world ushers in a new age with you as the new lord.

Ranni's Ending Severs the Greater Will and Outer Gods

With the Age of Star Ending which involves Ranni's questline, Ranni ascends as the new goddess and takes the Tarnished as her Elden Lord and they leave the world to proceed with a journey that lasts a thousand years. With all the existing influences of the Outer Gods and the Greater Will being gone including Ranni and the Tarnished, the world is now left in a state with no deities and allows the world to revel on its own which gives everyone freedom and their own will.

How to Get all Endings

Complete the Game 3 or 7 Times

To get all the endings, you will need to complete the game 3 or 7 times. For a completionist route, you necessarily do not need to get all endings and instead, only get to complete the three major endings which are the Elden Lord ending, Ranni's Ending, and Lord of Frenzied Flame ending. However, if you truly wish to watch all the 7 endings then you will also need to complete the game 7 times respectively.

How Many Endings Are in Elden Ring?

There Are Endings Total With 3 Major Endings

There are three major endings in Elden Ring which are the Elden Lord ending which involves completing the game normally, the Age of Stars which involves Ranni's questline, and the Lord of Frenzied Flame which involves the Three Fingers.

Aside from the three Major Endings, there are 6 variations for the endings where four of them belong to the Elden Lord endings while two of those belong to the Lord of the Frenzied Flame. This effectively makes the game have 7 endings in total.
