You can find the Wandering Wight near the Outside the Forest incense shrine in the Forest of Wolves in Chapter 1. After reaching the shrine, move past the wolves, cross the bridge, and turn left to encounter the Wandering Wight.
If you've gone past the Wandering Wight and rung all three bells to teleport to the Secret Area in Chapter 1, he will disappear and you won't be able to get his Spirit. If this happens, you will need to either start a new save or wait until you get to New Game+ to get the Spirit.
All Missables and Points of No Return
If you defeated the Wandering Wight early in the game before gaining the ability to absorb spirits, you can return to a nearby shrine after obtaining that power to collect its spirit.
The Wandering Wight's Spirit Skill allows you to temporarily transform into the Wight and ram into enemies, delivering heavy damage with its head.
You can cultivate this spirit up to six times to increase its power and effectiveness.
Cultivation Level | Effect |
---|---|
1 | Bow with utmost devotion and ram the foe with your bronze skull, dealing massive Damage. |
2 | Reduces the Qi cost for the skill. |

Spirits you’ve acquired can be cultivated or upgraded at Keeper's Shrines to enhance their effectiveness. To do this, access any Keeper's Shrine, select "Self-Advance," and then choose "Cultivate Spirits."
Cultivating Spirits requires Will and other materials, such as Blood of the Iron Bull.

Combat Tier | |||
Pros | |||
• Grants +20 Defense when equipped. • Has high Poise, which reduces interruptions when casting spells. • Faithful Kowtow is an AoE attack that can even stun bosses. • Faithful Kowtow can also break open hidden areas, which many are found in Chapter 2 onwards. |
|||
Cons | |||
• Faithful Kowtow only lasts for a short period of time and can be avoided by faster enemies. • Doesn't work on Flying Enemies. |
The Wandering Wight Spirit's skill, Faithful Kowtow, is most effective when surrounded by enemies due to its large size, providing a space advantage after transforming.
However, the skill only lasts briefly, and it's even shorter if the spirit hasn't been fully cultivated yet.
